  7. We did do what I said above, four of us Moira, Ken, Barry and me. For the most part it was dry, but we had some rain when we came out of the cafe. The cafe was up to it’s usual standard, I can recommend the BLTs that two us had. The wind was strong today, but on the way home it was behind us. About a quarter of a mile before I got home, the rain got quite heavy, so it was a sprint for the last few yards. Michelle sent me a text saying that her and Chris had just missed us at the cafe dew to a puncture. Shame we missed them. Well, that’s the end of the Club Runs for a few weeks because of what Uncle Boris has been saying, so we will have to ride on our own, or with just one from another household. So keep safe and keep fit. 🚲
  8. I have been looking at the weather forecasts, one says we might get wet, and the other says we might stay dry. So I’m thinking, if it’s dry at 10 o’clock we should do a loop round, not getting too far from home, and then ending up at Broad Acres. And it could be quite windy as well. 10 o’Clock. 10. Very happy birthday Ivor, hope to see you out and about soon, and many happy returns. Ann and John. πŸŽ‚
  11. The person who requested to go to Evesham was Michelle, bear that in mind. Three met at Tardebigge, Moira, Gordon and me. As we started off Mick H. came round the corner and made it four, a little further on, a car πŸš— honked his horn at us and I waved back, (I’ll wave at anyone). So next we meet Barry, but Mick turns off, so that’s back to four. At the cafe after about fifteen minutes, in came Michelle and Chris T. It was lovely to see them, it had been quite a while. So there we were sitting and chatting when a voice from behind us said, isn’t Alan Philpot out with you, this was a couple, Win and Brian, I think their names were who used to be members of the Redditch Road and Path, the club that Alan was in before joining The Saracen, Anyway, we decided between us that it was too wet and he didn’t want to get his bike dirty. Before going, my phone πŸ“ž rang, it was Leigh, he was the one in the car honking the horn, he just rang to say how well he was doing after his resent operation, and that he will be off the bike for six weeks. I could make a comment but I don’t think I will. We left Michelle and Chris, who were going to go home a different way to us, so four of us went off homeward. It has been a lovely day with good company and good weather, until about half way home, then it absolutely pee’d it down, and we all got soaked. Oh well that’s the way it goes. 🚲
  12. I’ve had a request to go to Evesham, so we’ll go to Evesham. Don’t forget the clocks ⏰ πŸ•° go back tonight. 10 o’clock, Tardebigge. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½
  13. It was a bit chilly to start this morning, but the wind was very light, so it felt okay. Three started from Tardebigge, Moira, Gordon and me. We had a gentle ride round through Bidford and on to Hillers where we met Chris and Alan P. About ten minutes later, in came Roger and Chris P. We spent about forty five minutes in the cafe, feeding our faces and catching up on the news. Then another steady ride back home. Good day, and nice to see everyone. 🚲
  14. Hillers, via Bidford, shouldn’t be as windy as it was in the week. 10 o’clock, don’t be late, Tardebigge . πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ 🚴🏽
  15. Nice ride today, quite a few out, our gang, (The Bees 🐝🐝)had to split up into two groups because there were nine of us, one of the groups seemed to have gone the wrong way, but never mind, we all ended up in the right place. The A (fast) group also met up with us, three of them, so twelve Saracens in all, not bad for an October day. Now, let me think who was out, The Bees, Moira, Bev, Kev, Leigh, Gordon, Cristine, Alan, Berry, and John. And The A’s, Mick, Chris P. and Roger. Most of us hadn’t been to The View before, and I must say it is well named, the view from there is very impressive. 🚲
  16. The View at Wootton Wawen. 10 o’clock, Tardebigge. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½ Barry, cross road, A422/A441 Ps. Tuesday gang, back to Defford this week.
  17. Happy birthday Guy, many happy returns. Ann and John. πŸŽ‚
  18. Looking at the weather forecast I don’t think I shall be going out, but just in case, if it happens to be dry I think a loop round and end up at Broad Acres. 10 o’ clock, Tardebigge. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½ Ps. Just for the Tuesday gang, the coming Tuesday we will be going to Clive’s of Cropthorn, and NOT Defford. Meet up usual time and place.

  21. We did have a lovely day, except for the cold, and the wind, and the hills. It was a nice day, four of us at TB. Leigh, Gordon, Ken, and me, then we picked up Barry on the way. Oh I forgot, Chris Kent rode up to TB to see us but then went for a ride on his own. So off we went to Evesham where we found Bev and Kev had got there before us. As I said, it was windy, and a cold start but it was good day, and my legs ache. 🚲
  22. Evesham, could be a bit windy again. 10 o’clock, Tardebigge, πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½ Via Priest’s Bridge.
