  1. What a hot day today !! I saw 29 degrees on the Garmin, but that didn’t stop 5 brave soles venturing out. Julie, Moira, Bev, Kev and me had a steady ride out to Clive’s, the cafe wasn’t too crowded so we were able to sit inside where it was much cooler. After refreshments we rode home without incident. Nice ride but we were glad to get home 🏠 and get out of the heat. 🚲
  2. Clive’s of Cropthorne, it’s going to be very warm, so don’t forget the sun cream. 9,30 Tardebigge πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½
  3. Six started today from TB. Moira, Julie, Leigh, Mick Dolton. Gordon, and me. The weather was just about perfect for cycling, about nineteen/ twenty degrees and not a lot of wind. The ride over to Long Marston was at a steady speed, through some lanes that we haven’t been through for a while. At the cafe we sat outside in the sunshine 🌞, and then in a while Chris and Alan Philpot came and joined us. After eating and drinking and taking the pee, we all rode back together, but having to stop by the side of the road for a minute or two , to let some of the tea out again. The ride home was incident free, and the wind was with us.🚲
  4. Espresso Barn at Long Marston, the forecast is for dry weather, and the wind not too strong. 9,30 Tardebigge πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½
  5. Well done Leigh, have a gold star. 🌟
  6. I am not going out today, too much rain about. ☹️
  7. Just finished watching The Tour, it was enough to give you a hot flash. Anyway, back to reality, after looking at the weather forecasts, I think a short ride would be best this week, so I thought a loop round to Broad Acres, keeping an eye πŸ‘ on the weather. 9,30 Tardebigge πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ 🚴🏽
  8. Well, I think I should say something after all that. It was a nice ride today, it didn’t rain, that’s a good start, a good few out, a new friend, plenty of old ones, and my longest ride of the year, 58 miles, I know it,s not that far, but a good day. I hope we can have more similar good days. 🚲
  9. Nice steady ride to Evesham this week. 9,30 Tardebigge πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ 🚴🏽
  10. We will be doing a shortish ride (nlt) and hopefully meeting up at Broad Acres with other Saracens, and then riding to Chaddesley Corbett, for a swift half and a chat. Tardebigge 9,30. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½

  14. Yes, Leigh is right, it was hot, had 28 degrees on the Garmin for a short time. It was good to see Ivor at Tardebigge today, he rode a short way with us, he will soon be back to full strength. So from Tardebigge today was Moira, Ivor, Leigh, Gordon and me. Ivor turned off at Feckenham, and went his own way, just after that we picked up Berry, so back up to five. Nice steady ride to Blackminster, sat outside at The Potted Pantry in the shade, spent quite a while there, the service wasn’t very quick, but good tea and toast etc. On the way back home, some would say we got lost, but we were just getting a couple of extra miles in. All in all it was a good ride, but it was nice to get out of the sun when I got home. 🚲
  15. Let’s go to where we should have gone last week, Blackminster. It’s going to be warm, so don’t forget the sunscreen. Will be going via the cross roads A422/A441 Tardebigge 9.30 πŸš΄πŸ½πŸš΄πŸ½πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ
  16. Let’s go to The Potted Pantry at Blackminster, haven’t been there for a while. Tardebigge 9,30. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½
  17. We will be there, be nice to meet up after so long. 🚲
  18. Happy birthday Mike, and many happy returns. Ann and John. πŸŽ‚πŸΊ
  19. Nice ride to The View today, it is a very nice view from there, well worth a visit, and very popular. Their were seven out in our gang, Moira, Bev, Kev, Leigh, Gordon, Barry, and me. Starting off from home the sun 🌞 was shining brightly, but after a few miles it was cloudy and quite cold, also windy. The sun eventually burned through and all was well. So a very pleasant ride. 🚲
  20. Important, this week we will be starting at 9,30. We will be going to The View near Wootton Wawen. Weather is looking good, we will be going via the cross roads junction A422/A441 if anyone wants to meet up there. 9,30. Tardebigge. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸ½

    Thursday run

Leigh, you forgot to say how good the weather was, lovely warm sunshine, forgot the suntan cream, burnt my head. 🌞 🚲
  22. Very well done. πŸ‘
  23. Well that was a good restart, 8 of us at Tardebigge, ladies first, Moira, Kay, Chris Poole, Leigh, Barry, Gordon, Alan and me. We did a zigzag ride around Bishampton, keeping an eye on the weather, and luckily we didn’t get wet. Got to the cafe (Broad Acres) to find Mick H. there. After tea and chatting the wind was getting stronger and colder, so off we went back home, I got home just before the rain started. 🚲
  24. With the Covid restrictions opening up a little more in the last week, I feel that now is the time to restart the club runs. So, having looked at two weather forecasts (both of them being different) I think a shortish ride would be sensible, and perhaps weather permitting end up at Broad Acres for a cup of char. So going out via Priest’s Bridge, in case anyone wants to meet up on the way, 10 o’clock at Tardebigge. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ 🚴🏽
