  1. I'll be there John. But please don't ask me to navigate home 😄ðŸĪĢ
  2. Great write up John. Sorry I missed it it sounds Iike you had a good time. Good to hear Alan and Chris were out and about again too. We certainly need them when it's windy 👍
  3. Thanks Moira. See you in the morning. 🌞
  4. 2 a.m Moira! No wonder you're making cheeky comments ðŸĪŠ. Well decision has been made to cancel the ride. It's raining and a bit windy so it's felt it wouldn't be enjoyable. See you Tuesday ðŸĪž
  5. Well I knew this question might pop up and as you might recall i haven't got a clue. 🙈. But after consulting the boss... Meet you at Priest Bridge.
  6. So the real boss and their deputy are indisposed so I've been asked to deputise for the deputies' deputy! The weather is not looking too good but we are planning a loop to Springridge. John and I won't be stopping as we both need to get back early to join in jubilee celebrations. Hopefully it won't be a complete washout out. Meeting Steve and Barry in the usual spot. So TB at 9.30. Final decision will be made and post updated by 8.30 a.m. Fingers crossed the forecast improves ðŸĪž
  7. Sounds as if I missed a cold one today. Glad you managed to Defrost. Sun is shining now. Always the way 🙈
  8. Sorry I won't be joining you. I do like hillers too, but babysitting duties have to be done. Have a great ride x
  9. Great write up Moi and great pics. Ivor and Pete caught me up just after you left me. So I had a bit of company to barnt green. And yes a big thank you to Chris and Alan. One of the best pop up cafes I've ever been to. THANK YOU BOTH.
  10. Did someone use a four letter word there Moira??? Hill!! We don't do hills any more ..... Oh well I'll give it a go, but remember I'm not well ðŸĪĢðŸĪĢðŸĪĢ🙈
  11. We were a bit of a depleted club run today. The three musketeers Lee, Moira and me set off at 9.30 in lovely sunshine. D'artagnan aka Mick didn't make it. Must have been put off by the chance of rain. We took the middle run in terms of distance and arrived at SpringRidge at 11.15 after Lee left us part way through. I think Moira wished there had been a few more with us as I probably bored her to death about my holiday. Which was very nice by the way. Not long after we arrived the non- cycling contingent started to shuffle in. Dave and Mandy, Chris and Alan and John and Anne. We had a very detailed conversation about everyone's current state of health and I wish everyone a speedy recovery. Moira and I agreed that only those actually cycling should appear on this week's picture. So the dynamic duo can be seen below. It was nice to note that John had made a special effort to make up for not being on his bike this week by shining his head so much that the sun bouncing off his bonce was blinding us all. Thank you John! We also had a very interesting time trying to help John navigate his new phone. I had to ring him numerous times to test it out with shouts of "can you hear me mother" and "hello, hello, hello, hello" bouncing round the table. I am very pleased to report that it is now working fine. We had lots of laughs today which is good for the soul. The banter was brilliant 👍. The dynamic duo then had to leave the group for the long lonely cycle home. Whilst everyone else decided to have a little look round the garden centre. Very civilised... John and Anne passed us on the way back and gave us a friendly wave, which was nice. We nearly managed to miss the rain but did get caught just before Blackwell. A great ride thank you Moira. Oh and my car was where I left it and it was locked!! 🙈. Thank goodness for that. See you all next time
  12. Hahaha. I'm sure I can manage rhe long way but only if you go slow. I'm carrying a bit of extra baggage. 🙈 See you tomorrow. Be kind I'll be a bit rusty!!!
  13. I like the super six charm offensive. Brilliant!! 65 miles! I'm jealous, but I must admit sitting on deck sipping cocktails comes a close second. Just arrived at Stavanger, Norway off to explore next. Oh and Moi, I've been in the gym every day so far. So that's just the once 😆. See you Sunday hopefully. X
  14. Have a good day. Sorry not to be joining you. I see the boss is back in charge!
  15. Sorry for the late post. I've got my granddaughter here so haven't had a minute! Well it was a good call to go out today. A chilly start but glorious end to the day. Tim, Bev, Moira, John and me set off from TB prompt at 9.30 am. Picking Tony up at the agreed meet point along the way. Nice to have Bev back after her holiday in Greece, she looked very tanned!! We also picked Dave up somewhere too. So over the dreaded Lenches we went! It was as bad as I remembered and I brought up the rear as usual. Others were flying up so well done to them.👍 Evesham was busy but Tim navigated us through the traffic well. We got to the Riverside cafe and sat outside in the sun. It was lovely. Tea and teacakes went down well. The CBA duet (aka Alan and Chris) didn't make it. Not sure if they heard us as we went past their gaff shouting "CBA" 😆. I hope so! BTW Alan I was out on my winter bike again. Thats about all I can remember of the ride, except we were all feeling it by the time we got back. Pics below. Billy no mates Dave is the little figure plodding off to get his tea. Bless 😊.
  16. All I can say is, I'm sorry! I'm useless at directions but determined to take you all up that elusive bus lane one day. Thanks for not ripping me to shreds Moira. I did deserve it ðŸ˜ģ
  17. Hope you feel better soon Leigh.
  18. Haha. You won't t need a map John, but you might need a sar nav. Trust me I will get you home!!!
  19. Haha no. You've read that wrong Moira, it was me who asked them to leave me not you! 🙈
  20. Happy Easter everyone ðŸĢðŸĢðŸļ. The frogs for Dave. He'll know why 😆. I decided to risk it and leave the van at home. On my way to TB I was surprised by a deer jumping across the road 2ft in front of me. A nice start to the morning. Tim, moira, John and me set off 3 of us wearing shorts hoping for a warm day. We weren't disappointed. We went on an Easter egg hunt then picking up Dave, Barry and Steve on the way. No Easter bunny to be seen though. There was much discussion on leg colour for those wearing shorts and it was decided that John had the whitest legs anyone had ever seen. Sorry John 🙈. On arriving at the cafe we decided to sit outside. Where numbers of riders increased significantly. Chris Paul arrived, followed by Chris and Alan. Nice to see Alan out on the bike. First ride post op 👍. Jen arrived in her car to join us and Roger and Chris turned up too. It did get rather noisy. The sheep were nearly as noisy, but not quite. There's a pic of them later including a pile of what some of us thought was poo (well I did at least). Service was much improved and the cakes we had were really nice. We all started out together with Dave leaving us shortly after the cafe for home. Barry and Steve turning off at himbleton. The rest of us carried on up a really big hill at which point Chris, Christine and Alan went straight on with the rest of us turning left. John left us somewhere closer to TB leaving Chris, Roger, Moira and me to slog our way over the lickeys. Luckily I got a helping hand from Chris. It was a hard climb home. Moira left us at the top of the Lickeys and after telling Chris and Roger to leave me I'm glad they didn't as a small technical problem arose as we got to Northfield which would have stopped me in my tracks. Thank you guys for sorting it and getting me home. Although just turning the corner for home I got a puncture. There's a call out to my dad to mend it. I bet he's thrilled! I cant go without mentioning, as Moira pointed out, that we took 6 scalps. Always a good feeling. See you all next time hopefully. Sorry not sure why that pic of the love birds has popped up here but it is a nice one.
  21. I'll be there. Might start from home and then go back over timberhonger to home 😎. I'll see how brave I'm feeling.
  22. Sorry I won't be joining you as I'm on my holibobs. Have a good ride. X
  23. Never a truer word spoken! Fab photo. Thanks Alan.
