  1. What caravan 🤔🤣🤣🤣🙈
  2. Oh dear Leigh. Was no one about to help you? Hope you're ok.
  3. Setting off from Sanders Park were Tim, Gordon, Moira, Leigh and me. John arrived late which is a bit unbelievable seeing he lives the closest 🙈🤣🤣. Only joking John. We met Mick on the top of Timberhonger who had managed to drag himself out despite drinking a shed load of beer the night before. Fair play to you Mick. I didn't expect to see you. All I can say is we went up a hill, then we went up another hill, then we went up a drag, and a few more hills. I think you get the picture.... it was hilly ⛰️⛰️⛰️. Yes those are supposed to be hills!!! We did a lovely descent though with Mick coming from behind at great speed. But oh no!!! Some how his chain came off and wrapped itself around his pedal. It could have been nasty but fortunately his wheel kept on turning. So we all stopped and had a look. Moira suggested they turn the bike upside down but the experts knew better and struggled on trying to untangle the chain. Ten minutes later the bike was turned upside down and progress was made. Should have listened to Moira. She has some good ideas occasionally. Photographic evidence is given below, it was a nasty tangle!! Getting to the cafe we certainly made ourselves known. We were a rather noisy lot with Chris, Dave and Roger in attendance. So a good turn out. Tea cakes were on the well done side much to Moiras delight as she prefers burnt offerings 😋. We set off home with a "bloody idiot" getting too close to Moira going over the narrow bridge but she navigated through and we all got up the very big hill out of Bewdley. Did I mention the hills? 😆. Nothing much to report on the way home with different riders peeling off along the way as usual. Chris and Roger tried to tempt me to go up Day House Bank with them but unfortunately I had to get home to be spoilt by the kids so had to give it a miss. Next time chaps 👍. A few pics below and don't forget to keep your pineapples the right way up. 🍍🍍🍍. If you know, you know 😉😂😂 Great ride, nice to go out that way for a change, and great company as always.
  4. I'll be there John 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  5. Man talk 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm glad we missed that little treat. 🙈😆
  6. Love the flag pole story Moira. Hysterical. 🤣🤣🤣 We did make good time back, I doubt even John would have kept up with us 😉.
  7. I'm hoping to be there. A late night drinking. See what time i wake up 🙈
  8. Thank you John...... but you won't get out of doing a write up with flattery 😊
  9. We were a bit depleted on numbers today with just John, Gordon, Tim and me meeting at TB. Moira and Bev were off on their jollies and they have picked a good week to go away as it was pretty cold today and getting colder. Tim kept us company until just before Broadacres where he left us, as he was only doing a short one. We then picked up Steve along the way who turned off at Rous Lench as apparently he had wood to cut up and needed to get home. I've heard some excuses in my time but that one was a bit of a poor one... people will do anything to get out of going over the lenches. 🙈 That left me, John and Gordon to tackle the lenches and all the other undulations along the way. We didn't do too bad and got to Evesham unscathed and still pretty perky. Leigh was at the cafe when we arrived and to his disappointment got a much smaller tea cake than the rest of us. He was most upset. I would have taken a pic but he'd scoffed it down before I could get my camera out. Dave M turned up too. He'd had a technical on setting out so arrived a bit out of sorts a few minutes after us. We had a good old chat about nothing in particular but it was very enjoyable. So five of us set off for home with Leigh turning left at the island and the rest of us going right. We got caught up in a bit of a traffic jam due to some temporary traffic lights. It was a bit hairy for a while but we managed to navigate through and push on to Fladbury Hill. What a delight that was.... NOT. Dave left us en route which left the 3 amigos to carry on up to TB and home. A bit of drizzle was encountered but nothing to cause us much bother. A cold day but a good ride out. Pics below with Gordon's Fozzy bear gloves. He needed those today 🥶🥶🥶
  10. Stop rubbing it in Moira! It's absolutely freezing here and getting colder. You picked a good week to bail out!!
  11. See you there John 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  12. I was thinking that myself Moira. Perhaps Pershore 😆😆😆😆
  13. Setting off from TB were Bev, Moira, John, Tim, Gordon and me. Picking up Steve on the way. We made our way up the Ridgeway with Tim peeling off to go it alone back. It was tough in the wind and as Tony says, a bit chilly. In fact it was quite cold. Only warming up when the sun came out which luckily was quite often. We were all feeling pleased to know that we had nearly made it to the cafe, when we spotted Leigh coming towards us.... bad news.... the Potted Pantry was closed. So only real option was to head back to Hilliers. so we did a U turn and went back through Bidford and on to Hilliers. At least we were closer to home. Not sure where Leigh went but we assume he took a left as we didn't see him again. Although I think he tried ringing John but somehow the call got missed and when John finally managed to answer, all he could hear was muffled noises. I'm thinking Leighs phone had called John by mistake and was actually in Leighs pocket!!! We had a nice cafe stop with teacakes all round. I had an extra little cake as I was feeling fatigued 😵‍💫. Moira told us some very interesting stories about her time in the police too. Homeward bound we set off into the wind. My lovely cycling chums, Moira and John came with me up to the top of Rose Hill, I dont think I'd have made it without them. Thanks both 😍 I'd like to say it was an enjoyable ride but the cold and the wind took its toll (on me anyway). Great company as always and good chat. Pics below. I'm going for a lie down now!!!
  14. See you there John 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  15. Most miles I've done this year so far. 62 so I was very happy to see the hubby. Great video Alan. A good ride today, enjoyed it, even though I got rather hot and now am unable to move 🙈😩🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  16. I'll be there 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  17. Well I do think I've redeemed myself at long last. Sorry you ended up in redditch. You must have got my exact directions wrong. Never mind, better luck next time..... 🙈 Pics now posted 👍
  18. Starting from TB were John, Bev, Moira, Leigh, Gordon and me. A nice steady ride, we got strung out a bit up the Ridgeway but regrouped at the top and sped down the other side. On arrival at The View we were told there was no room and all tables were booked. Moira used her charm though and we managed to get an inside table for an allocated half hour. Which was all we needed as our food arrived quickly and we were able to comply with the request. As some of you will know I am infamous for getting the route wrong but amazingly the group put their faith in me and we set off to find the bus lane that Moira thought was a figment of my imagination!! I got some stick along the way as expectations of me getting the right route were pretty low. But I think they were all pretty impressed with my magical mystery tour. Even commenting how lovely the bus lane was 👍🥰 Coming out of Studley I took them down a little short cut through the industrial estate. I heard grumbling from Gordon as he said "I don't like the look of this..." but I think even he would agree that we came out of it ok. So on we went to the bus lane at which point I gave Moira directions to take them back via Enfield whilst I went right and up past KN golf course. I just hope they got the directions right. It was a good ride today, although a little cold and lonely after I left my chums. Pics below. With an inside shot... just for Barry 😊
  19. Good idea. See you tomorrow 😘
  20. Was a good ride today. Great write up Moira. Poor Leigh... we've all been there. And yes thanks Tim, we wouldn't have made it without you
  21. I'm back!!!! Managed to hold off the drink so I could get out today and I'm so glad I did.😊 Met up with John, Gordon, Bev and Moira at Tardebigge as planned. Confession time... I drove there as not being out for nearly 2 months I thought it a wise decision. Mick was hoping to join us but his back was playing so he had to turn back. Hope you feel better soon Mick 👍 We took a steady ride out picking up Tony and Leigh en route. Over the usual 9 hills (stats supplied by Moira) via Radford. I'm sure those hills have got steeper!!! We passed loads of cyclists, groups and solos. It was nice to see so many out taking advantage of a sunny but chilly day. Although we did warm up nicely going over the hills.🥵 Hilliers was busy, but we got seated easily and service was quick. Dave M and Tim arrived separately, so we had a good turn out. We did keep an eye out for Roger and Chris but assume they went further afield. We were all in shock when Tim said he'd paid £2.25 for a can of Coke and we all agreed it was daylight robbery. After admiring John's new 50p piece with King Charles on it and after discussing the old currency and reminiscing about three penny bits, sixpences and 10 bob notes, we set off for home. Dave and Steve went back via Flyford with the rest of us going back the way we came from Tardebigge. It was great to be out with the old gang 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️. Pics below..... Moira for some reason our pic, wouldn't load... I think we broke the camera 😆😆😆
  22. I am planning on being there Moira. Going out tonight but will try and cutback on the drinking... hic......🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  23. I won't be joining you at broadacres unfortunately. I will be busy shopping, taking advantage of the missed cycling. Moira has accused me of being a shopaholic and I actually cant disagree with her. Hope to see you all on Tuesday 👍🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  24. Good luck Moira. I'm sure you'll soon get into the swing of it. I'm in the same boat, as you know. Won't be joining you unfortunately, I'm still being lazy in tenerife. Hope you have a good ride x
