  1. I'll be there Moira πŸ‘πŸ˜Š
  2. Great pics and write up Moira. I think an explanation of my random foot photo is called for. So just to do that, I needed to change my socks as my shoes were still wet from Thursday. Apparently I should have stuffed them with newspaper. So I put some nice dry socks on at the cafe. And yes it was a huge plate of food but I managed to eat it and keep it down..... just 🀣🀣🀣🀣
  3. There's no duplicate on my link Moira! I hope to be there but if I've had a few too many today I might not make it. I'll keep you posted πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈ
  4. Setting off from Tardebigge were John, Tim, Mick and me. We felt a bit lonely until we picked up Chris and Alan, Barry and Leigh en route. It was an eventful ride out. First mishap was when we came out of priest Bridge where a cyclist came back asking if all our riders were up as someone had ridden into the back of a car😳. After a nano second we realised it must be Leigh and Mick hot pedalled it back to make sure he was okay. Thankfully no damage done and we carried on our way. 😊 A little further on just after Bidford Barry got a flat and Johnny Big Thumbs πŸ‘πŸ‘ was needed to get the tyre back on. So another slight delay. I was happy about this as Chris was able to give my back a good scratch as I had an out of reach itch. She was very good at it!!! πŸ˜‡ We then had to tuck Leigh in as his coat was hanging down. An accident waiting to happen!!! So another small delay.πŸ™ˆ Lastly Barry decided to turn right to offenden and did a quick U turn to get back with the pack. After all this excitement we arrived at the cafe at about 11.45 ish. We sat outside and had our usual chit chat about nothing very scintillating but we all found it interesting at least.πŸ˜†. Most of us had tea/coffee and cakes or toasted tea cakes πŸ°πŸ§β˜•οΈβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈπŸͺ Leigh left before the pack and we all set off home a little while later. It was an uneventful ride back with Barry, Alan and Chris, and Mick all peeling off at various points. Leaving me John and Tim to make our way to TB. Confession time for me, I had ridden from home, legs were gone so I got a lift home from TB. I needed it. A hilly ride out into the wind but a nice tailwind home and we managed to beat the rain. So til the next time........πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈ
  5. See you in the morning John πŸ‘
  6. Sounds as if you had a great day. Sorry I missed it. I'm on holiday in instow. Went for short bike ride today on a very heavy bike. See you next Sunday πŸ‘
  7. Ivor, I'm not sure what you're talking about but it sounds impressive. Well done! Sundays ride started at TB as planned with me, Gordon, John, Leigh, Moira and Tim. Kev made a quick appearance then disappeared again. I think we should rename him Houdini. It was a hilly ride out through Feckenham and Astwood Bank. On the 1 in 6 hill my garmin stopped as I was going so slow up the hill. Thankfully everyone made it up at their own pace. There were a few rough patches of road where we all got a good bone rattle going on. Obviously Warks have no money for road repairs it seems πŸ™ˆ. Arriving at the cafe we all settled down and not long after Chris, Roger and Tess turned up to join us. After Leigh had finished his power nap we set off for home. Tess lost her glasses but it was pointed out they were on her head 🀭. Haven't we all done that at some point πŸ˜†πŸ˜† All I will say about the ride home is that I think I have redeemed myself πŸ˜‡. I navigated us successfully and without issue back to wythall. Moira was amazed as were most of the group, especially me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I left the group at the top of illshaw heath and headed for home, making sure the rest of them knew how to get home cos you know how their navigational skills can let them down. (Only joking, before I get shouted at!). It was a lovely ride, made a very nice change and cafe served some very nice grub. Oh and some pics are missing as they wouldn't load for some reason.
  8. Well actually I do know the way back from there honestly I do, but on past performances I won't be volunteering to lead us home. See you at 9.30 x

  10. Morning! I'm going to give it a miss too. This heat is too much for me. πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅
  11. Hey Moira you forgot to mention the wobbly descent as we came out of chipping Campden. It was a proper bone shaker. A good ride but I was glad to get home to a cool shower and a nice cuppa.
  12. See you in the morning. A new ride for me. I hope its not too hilly! πŸ™ˆπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸš΅β€β™‚οΈπŸš΅β€β™€οΈπŸš΅

    Club Run.

So the non club run turned out to be a good turnout. Meeting at TB were Bev, Kev, Moira, John, Tim, Mick D and me. I'd ridden from home to Moiras first to avoid the marathon which turned out to be unnecessary in the end but hey ho you live and learn! We picked up the Philpotts and the Tonnerys en route as we made our way on a big (and I mean enormous) loop to Springridge Nurseries at Crowle. It was empty but we still had to wait a little while for our refreshments. Feedback was given on tea pot sizes but I doubt it will make a difference. On showing Moira a pic of me with my lovely mom, everyone said they couldn't tell who was the oldest. So I'm now booking in for botox, fillers and anything else needed. To say I was most offended is an understatement. Good job I can take it!!! The pic of AP is a bit of a first as he went to get more jam, which is usually Chris' job πŸ˜±πŸ™ˆ. He did well not to get lost 🀣. After collecting up the pots and talking about roofs and other really interesting stuff we set off for home. We quickly lost Kev and Bev who went up Berry Lane. Then the Philpotts and Tonnerys turned off towards Himbleton. Which left me, Moira, John, Tim and Mick D to slog it up over Hanley and back towards TB. A really good ride and a record mileage of 71 for me.
  14. Happy birthday to the Philpotts x
  15. Well done on the mileage Moira. I managed 67 and don't I know it. Haven't moved since I got home. So pleased we had a tail wind. πŸ’‹
  16. I'll see you in the morning. Hopefully we won't have to go up any big hills πŸ™ˆ Tommy Godwin has been signed up to. Should be a great day out and a nice change πŸ‘
  17. Thank you Leigh!. No cake you're on a health kick. I'm saving you from yourself x
  18. Nice pic Mick. See you next week. Leaving from TB were bev, moira, John, Gordon and me. We picked Barry up en route. We were hoping for a lovely day and that's exactly what we got. Temperature was high but off set by a lovely breeze. So we were able to keep up a good pace, with superman John setting the pace. We were supposed to do a short ride but John kept turning left and putting extra on. I'm not sure what he was on, but I need some πŸ˜†. Arriving at broadacres, Dave Mand Steve jenny and the philpotts kev and his wife were already in situ. BLTs were lovely but no brown bread. Mand the cafe owner was a bit over heated and shut up shop at 12. So late comers Vince and Neil had to settle for Crisps and chocolate. Oh and we passed a person in a saracen top along the way but no one recognised him so if it was you let us know... as it was a bit of a mystery. After looking at jens new bike and especially the her huge sprockett We headed off home and it was pretty hot but not unbearable. Only incident after I left the pack was my water bottle holder failed and my bottle rolled down the hill after me. Stopping to retrieve it I carried on to my car at barnt green. So a better ride than expected in relation to the hot weather. Here's some pics. The one Barry took turned out to be a blurry video so didn't make the cut. Photographic evidence of the doorstep sarnie and the decorum required to eat it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  19. Totally agree With your opening comments Moira πŸ˜†. I will be there at 9.30. Don't forget the sunscreen 🌞🌞🌞🌞
  20. Haha. So I need to be at yours for 8.45 am then. Crikey! Sounds like I missed a good day. See you all Tuesday. Be kind I'm fat and unfit so I might not make it back πŸ˜†
  21. 70 miles! Wow. I am impressed. Nice legs everyone. I won't be out Sunday will be travelling home from Southampton. Have a great ride.
  22. Hope you get out. Have a good ride if you go. I'll miss it as I'm away x
  23. A small group met at TB today. John, Tim, Leigh , Mick and me. It was nice to see Mick out. He certainly entertained us all with his singing and story telling as we sped along πŸ‘πŸ€£. A steady ride out and I now know where the Ridgeway is πŸ™ˆ. Arrived at the cafe where it was cold and a bit breezy so we went inside. Only to be chucked back outside as all indoor tables were booked. Quick cups of tea, cakes and tea cakes were downed and we decided to make a quick exit as it was rather chilly. We met Dave and Mandy in the car park who had just arrived to join us but unfortunately we were already setting off. A steady ride back with no issues. All in all a very nice day. We missed the regulars but see you next time. PS Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there. The gap in the pics was where I was sitting. Oh and yes there are 3 photos. Can you spot the difference!
  24. I think Barry's on holiday steve.
