  1. Great ride out today. It was nice to be back with the gang albeit only 4 of us to begin with. Party was fab, I have been very spoilt so am feeling very loved. See you all next week. Oh and Moira you're getting a bit cheeky, I'll have to get my own back! Wait til you join the 60 Club!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🥰
  2. I am a very good actress Moira. I'll be there. Thank you for accommodating my request. Very kind ..... is it because I'm getting on a bit now I'm 60? 🙈🤣🤣🤣
  3. Cheeky bugger Moira!! 🤣🤣 it was a bit loud I have to admit!!!
  4. Oh yeah. I forgot about me 🙈
  5. So despite Moira not having much faith in me. I did turn up at TB without a hangover. Moira, Tim and John arrived and we set off. Meeting up with a load of people at PB. There were Steve, Dave M, Chris Pool, the Phillpotts with Barry joining us later. So a good turn out today. Everyone was in high spirits until they realised we were going over the LENCHES!!! Tim carried on up radford while the rest of us prepared ourselves for the gruelling ascent. Barry was on his bike with no battery but I have to say he whizzed up the lenches. I was bringing up the rear until Alan gave me a push. It was a bit scary as he pushes fast! So the screaming was more pain than pleasure! Thanks for the push Alan. Dropping down sheriffs Lench we made our way to springridge. After tea and cakes we set off for home with people peeling off along the way. Congratulations are in order for Barry's daughter who has been awarded an MBE for providing mental and physical support to disabled children in Gibraltar through her work as a physiotherapist (I hope I've got that right Barry). But regardless you should be very proud and we will want to see the pictures of you at the Palace. a great ride today, lovely company and thank you for the cake Moira.
  6. I'm hoping to be there John 🤞
  7. Good write up John. You're very good at this. Should do it more often 👍

  11. Oh dear. I dont think I'll be able to keep up with you lot 🙈
  12. I won't be out but enjoy your ride. Lovely weather for it 👍
  13. Sorry for the late post. I've been hob nobbing with the neighbours. Five of us set off from Sanders Park at 9.30. Most of us had dressed for warmer weather and thankfully it turned out we made the right decision as the temperature reached just over 20 degrees on the way home. There were John, Tim, Gordon, Moira and me. Heading into Bewdley we were overtaken by three young guns. But we managed to catch them and I reckon we could have scalped them but they went right as we went left. Pity as I think we could have taken them 😜. On arrival at The cafe, leigh was there tucking into beans on toast and dave Mitchell arrived just as we got there. Chris Pool turned up and it turned out it was his birthday so we all had another drink on Chris. Cheers Chris and many happy returns. Leigh decided to get off early and after some rummaging around in his nether region (doesn't bear thinking about) he set off home. We left shortly after with dave going back a different way. A lovely day for a bike ride. Great company and lovely weather. Gordon did get a bit hot though. 🥵🥵🥵. Pics below. One of the birthday boy too. The pic of me and you Moira wouldn't load. I think we broke the camera 🙈
  14. Me too 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️

  17. Great write up Moira You're right I was groaning about talk of big hills. 🙈 Good to get out even if it was a damp start and finish 👍
  18. I'll be there too 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  19. First of all Happy Easter everyone. 🐣🐣🐇🐇 John got his wish as there were a lot of us out today in what turned out to be an eventful club run. Starting at TB were John, Gordon, Tim, Moira, Bev, Kev (not Bevs Kev) and me. Bevs Kev had passed us earlier on his motor bike but I missed him apparently. We picked up Steve and the Philpotts en route and headed off into a pretty strong head wind. Barry also joined us for a short time but had to get home as he had family visiting. Kev had shot off in front to speak to another rider. We didn't see him again until the cafe. Someone, naming no names (Alan), was complaining that the group were going too slow up one of the bigger hills 🙈. Some choice words were exchanged and needless to say disciplinary action is being considered into the matter as swearing is not to be tolerated apparently. Honestly, I'll try not to swear in future but in my defence I was under intense pressure for not going fast enough into a head wind and after being off the bike for a week. I was told not to have so many holidays. This lot aren't very sympathetic 🤣🤣🤣. Anyway continuing on, I was informed at the cafe that another incident nearly caused Moira and Bev to take a tumble as Barry pulled in sharpish as a car was coming and a fall was narrowly missed. We got to the right turn just before the cafe and disaster.... John fell off into the ditch. He got up quickly and wasn't seriously hurt but has hurt his knee. Hopefully, he will recover quickly. This was caused by the front rider slowing without warning and wheels were clipped causing John to tumble. So remember, good communication is paramount to keep everyone safe 👍. We got to the cafe and there were a few words exchanged about the incident and apologies made. After tea, toast and tea cakes everyone seemed a lot happier again. 😊. Although the kitchen were a bit confused as they kept bringing out stuff we hadn't ordered. They were pretty busy 🙈 Dave M and Chris also joined us at the cafe so a great turn out. We were all a bit worried as Moira had 2 cups of coffee and everyone knows she goes a bit loopy on caffeine. But thankfully she managed to keep herself in check 🤣🤣🤣. I'm pleased to report that the ride home was much less fractious. So Fallings out and falling off were the order of the day, but we still had a great ride and lovely company. Pics below. One showing John's muddy back after crawling out of the ditch. 🙄 See you all next time. 🤞
  20. See you at TB 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  21. Well done all. I'm sorry I missed out on a ride but with all the wind perhaps not. I'd rather get wet than be blown backwards. See you next week. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  22. Well done John. You are a technological genius 👍😊
  23. Well after a lot of umming and ahhing I decided to keep John company and met him at 10 am (but it was really 9 am) at TB. It was drizzling a bit as we set off but soon stopped and it turned out to be pleasant on the way out with a tail wind. We were averaging nearly 16 mph which made a nice change. Although the wind helped. We passed Philpott Towers but didn't see any activity or car washing going on. Now remember that we met at 10...Well at the bottom of the hill a decision needed to be made about which way we would go. It went along the lines off.... John "what time is it?" Me "its ten to ten" John "oh ok well we will go along the airfield and do a loop then Me "ok" Ten minutes later Me "John you know I said it was ten to ten... Well it's actually ten to eleven" 🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣. How on earth did we think we got that far before we'd even set out. Hysterical. Moral of the story... dont let me and John out on our own 😵‍. So we had a change of plan and carried on up the road and stopped to watch the road race pass us. There weren't many of them, perhaps the weather had put some off. Sounds a familiar story. Me and John had a lovely chat about music, bands and songs from our youth. A trip down memory lane it was very enjoyable. We got to the cafe and there was no one else there, we were hoping for some company. So the pics are mainly of the flora and fauna. The shop getting very well stocked for the summer. The pic of me and John wouldn't load so you'll have to take our word that I was there 🙈 Setting off home into a gale force wind, well a strong head wind brought our average down a bit. We passed Phillpott Towers again and had a chat with Alan who was scraping cow poo of the car with a bit of plastic. He's very thorough. Chris was no where to be seen. Probably hiding in case he started trying to clean her up again. John and I soldiered on into the wind and made good time back. I'm glad we got out and mainly missed any of the light showers that were forecast. See you next time 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
  24. I hope to be out John. Weather permitting 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
