  1. Happy New Year to All. Let's hope it's a good one for bike riders in the near future, with cafe stops as the norm again and Ivor riding with us. Best Wishes Barry
  2. Belated Birthday greetings Chris, like John looking forward to group riding again. Boring on your own for 2/3 hours. I hope your day was good. Barry
  3. I agree John, another enjoyable day in the saddle. I did get my new to me Winter bike wet and dirty, within 2minutes after leaving you the rain came down heavy and I arrived home very wet, on a dirty bike. The joys of cycling. It was also nice to see Dave Mitchell for a brief chat on our way to Evesham, I think he was out training, getting the miles in to race next year maybe !!! ??
  4. Thanks John will do, as previously top of the short steep hill on the A422 Inkberrow road. !0.45 ish
  5. Thanks John for the info' but I think its a miss for me also. Hope to see you Tuesday for Clives. Are you going via PB?
  6. Congratulations Ken and Pat, an achievement to be proud of. Barry & Lesley
  7. See you between PB and Flying Horse lane
  8. Keep it up Chris, as an ex racer you know how to go through the pain barrier. Look forward to seeing you back with us on the road.
  9. Hi Tim. Can I have the short sleeve summer jersey. You can ring me on 01386304483. Hope you are well. Barry.
  10. Thank you for your best wishes. Hope there are many more with the club. Barry
  11. This must be one in a million, husband and wife same birthday date,10 years apart!!! Hope you had a good celebration and look forward to seeing you both tomorrow. Barry
  12. Great photo's Chris and a marathon ride. Well done at your age!!! I thought you said previously you were doing 40/50 a day?
  13. You know me better than that. My names not Andy Wish I could manage that, even your 40/50. 30/40 per day 100/120 per week
  14. Sorry Chris, I honestly never saw you. I've seen several club members and Thursday riders over the past 8 weeks, even stopping for a chat at times observing social distance. At my age I have difficulty catching anybody!! even people on sit up and beg electrics, perhaps my head was down on my way home on my last legs, but I am pleased and fortunately well enough to be getting out 3 days a week, between 100/120 miles on very quiet Worcestershire roads, long may it last. I will watch out for you in future!! keep circulating the photo's.
  15. Chris. Good attempt to test peoples local knowledge but how can you expect a Lancashire lad to answer those questions, I 'm still finding new roads and footpaths within a radius of 10 miles around Inkberrow and getting lost. Great pictures as you always take and i enjoyed viewing them.
  16. Reply to Ivor's question. I know 6 of which two are my daughters, both medical, one in Gibraltar, other in Bristol, Bath hospital. both tested positive, very mild effects. Hope its their Genes, which means if we catch it, it will be mild???
  17. Excellent John. Don't keep those talents hidden during the next 3 weeks. A Diary of your solo cycling in rhyme would be good to read during the continuing lockdown. Stay Safe
  18. I am out regularly 3 times a week on a 25 mile circuit, training to hold Ivor's wheel when this is all over!!. However a word of Warning. Today I was overtaken by two, what I call "wanna impress riders" close wheel and very close to me, who on passing shouted OK mate and continued on. Later I was overtaken by a very professional looking rider., he was the full width of the road away from me, he looked across and waved his left hand, I acknowledged by lifting my right hand, he was moving fast. I am reluctant to use a mask or mouth cover whilst on the bike, but if I experience again what the two riders did I will seriously consider it. Some will say ride faster, don't get overtaken. They were however at least 30/40 years younger. I was wearing my Saracen top. I also move to the centre of the road and more if I see walkers.
  19. If you are looking for a laugh at my expense, I can reveal a Senior moment, which I was keeping quiet . A week last Thursday (12th March) I rode to Droitwich to meet you at Julies, when I ordered my tea and toast I was asked if others were arriving and how many and how long would they be, I said yes but as I had come from a different direction I didn't know, probably within the next half hour. By 12.15 nobody had arrived and I suddenly realised I should be in Alcester. I apologised to the girls at the café and explained why you wouldn't be arriving. So not only can I not remember directions, as you will agree, I cannot remember the café stop days. I think I will be last in line for a ventilator!!
  20. What's going to happen to club runs for us over 70s? it looks like prison for 4 months with no visitors! I will go out on my own.
  21. Michelle and Chris Sorry to read the very sad news, Evie could not have had more devoted and caring parents during her short life. My thoughts and sympathies are with you. Barry
  22. Waited at Radford and rode up and down the road back towards Inkberrow to the Worcester Rd from 10.20 until 11??? Then did a Billy/Barry no mates solo Senior ride..
  23. Thanks John, Radford it will be.2 mile from home.
  24. Hi John Subject to weather can i meet you somewhere and at what aprox' time. Do you cross the Worcester road and at which point or suggest a place i may know, clearly i don't expect you to wait, just ride through and i hope i can be there to meet you. Or will you go via Priest bridge going towards Alan P's house and onto the Worcester Rd, i can be between those two points.
