  1. Hi Julie, I will make my decision tomorrow, it looks very doubtful, but what do you consider is the usual meeting point for Steve and I, PB or Feckenham? It can vary depending on the final destination.
  2. See you around Feckenham 10 ish.
  3. Great ride and excellent cafe stop. I echo the comments of others in thanking Chris and Alan for all their hard work in feeding and watering us and making the occasion one to remember. Many thanks and I hope you are both soon back joining our little gang on the bike. A Big THANK YOU again. I even enjoyed the kiss from the hostess, she obviously recognised a good looking, fit for anything old man. My quickie was a kiss which is more than other men were given! I won't say what happened in the kitchen, but it solved a big problem I had? But I'd used up all the Testosterone on the bike.
  4. Yes Steve, end of my drive next to the surgery 9.20ish for the 3mile drag up to Astwood lights via Holberrow Green.
  5. I will be at the traffic lights in Astwood Bank 10ish, at the top of the little hill.
  6. Hope to see you in the usual en- route direction.
  7. Sorry, can't be with you, Moira knows why by text. Enjoy the ride, hopefully see you Tuesday. PS just booked our flight to Spain, end of the month. so more excuses for then.
  8. See you PB/FH lane. Hopefully on the Summer bike, we can but hope!
  9. Julie, great summary of the ride, I liked you diplomatic comment " we all got over the lenches at our own pace" to be correct you sailed past me on the hill, I was the tail end Charlie bringing up the rear on this occasion, not you, a good 300 mts behind, not one of my good days and very painful !! you rode well.
  10. See you as usual. I am meeting Steve Tonry who rang me today. He will be joining us for this ride and perhaps future rides. He will be an excellent addition to our numbers if he does. A very experienced rider and nice guy who most of you know.
  11. Sorry guys, the Sunday choice was Bike ride, BA, or 3 big cycle races on Eurosport, the latter in the warmth won. Enjoy your breakfast and chat. Hope to see you on Tuesday.
  12. Likewise, raining here and very windy, I'm also a none starter. Hope to be out on Tuesday.
  13. I will see you en route unless the post says otherwise. Pleased you enjoyed your holiday and no doubt full of energy from the rest.
  14. Hi Ivor, on balance mixed, but I was aware that more drivers gave us a wider berth than previous. It was particularly noticeable when I was riding solo after having left the group on my way home that the majority of drivers overtook me on the other side of the white line, which was more obvious than the past and, as I was taking particular notice. I was also aware that more drivers stayed behind me when traffic was approaching in the opposite direction, when in the past they would have squeezed through. A definate improvement. A good day out in the saddlle, cold to start but we soon warmed.
  15. See you en route, Thanks for that john, I couldn't have made Bedford!!
  16. See you PB/FH lane, conditional.
  17. Happy and safe New Year to all. Get well soon Moira. Look forward to seeing you on the bike John, I hope to join you between PB/ FH lane. First ride for 2/3weeks and no Turbo so I hope for an easy ride, or I will watch you going into the distance from behind !!
  18. See you PB/ FH lane. Also. Happy 75th Birthday for tomorrow and Best wishes Chris. 75 miles in your condition, you will be at the cafe before us. A Garmin check will be carried out to confirm. We might even buy you a drink?
  19. Sorry guys, Grandson and girlfriend from Bristol visiting this W/end. His first long drive since passing his test. Enjoy your ride, I hope it's not too cold for you. Hope to see you Tuesday.
