Sarashell
Springridge this week, the weather being unpredictable we should keep a bit nearer home. Springridge seems to be our default destination when the weather is a bit iffey . So hope to see y’all in the morning, 9.30 Tardebigge. We’ll be going out via Priest’s Bridge, Inkberrow, Radford. 🚲

Julie
So despite Moira not having much faith in me. I did turn up at TB without a hangover. Moira, Tim and John arrived and we set off. Meeting up with a load of people at PB. There were Steve, Dave M, Chris Pool, the Phillpotts with Barry joining us later. So a good turn out today. Everyone was in high spirits until they realised we were going over the LENCHES!!! Tim carried on up radford while the rest of us prepared ourselves for the gruelling ascent. Barry was on his bike with no battery but I have to say he whizzed up the lenches. I was bringing up the rear until Alan gave me a push. It was a bit scary as he pushes fast! So the screaming was more pain than pleasure! Thanks for the push Alan. Dropping down sheriffs Lench we made our way to springridge. After tea and cakes we set off for home with people peeling off along the way. Congratulations are in order for Barry's daughter who has been awarded an MBE for providing mental and physical support to disabled children in Gibraltar through her work as a physiotherapist (I hope I've got that right Barry). But regardless you should be very proud and we will want to see the pictures of you at the Palace. a great ride today, lovely company and thank you for the cake Moira. Sarashell
Enjoyed the ride today, planned it so we got home before the rain, bloody good job we did, we have had a terrific thunderstorm ⛈ this afternoon, very good for the garden. Nice photos Julie, but you’re not on them. 🤷♂️ Anyway, have a good time next week, and happy birthday for the sixth. 🚲 Julie

Moira
I don’t quite know what Alan was doing to Julie in Rous Lench but she was squealing like a pig ( sorry Julie that’s what it sounded like ) I think she must have woken all the poor residents up !!! Great to get home before that very heavy rain . I agree we’ll done to Barry’s daughter 👏 But think Barry is now worrying about the cost of Lesley’s new outfit for her visit to the Palace 🤣

ChrisP
First thing congratulations to Barry's daughter. Well it looks like a very relaxed club outing not to far out from home. Seems we all got home before the rain arrived. The storm John had arrived in Bournville about an hour ago. So Billy no mates had to go out alone again today. Roger is nursing he's injuries after falling down a hole just below Leach Green Lane below the Lickey's on our way home on Tuesday. Fortunately nothing broken just the removal of some skin and some bruising. The most distressing thing the holes in his top. Tess is also recovering from a Saturday night wedding celebration she attended. Decided to set of in a Solihull direction for a change then do a tour of Warwickshire. Continuing out to Hampton in Arden which meant some road diversions due to HS2 works. Ended on the boundary of Coventry. Rode on past the old Massey Ferguson site which is now a large housing estate, made my way to Kenilworth. Passing on through the village to turn down a lane heading for Beausale this is well used by cyclists in both directions. Almost last the phone this time. Legs still feel good Norton Linsey next. Bearley Next. Think it's time to head for home don't want to catch the rain. Through the lanes to Ullenhall only one problem ahead after passing though there. Forde Hall Hill. Got back before the rain a good day for riding again. Only 25degs today no wind about Hope you enjoy the ride.
Lancashire Lad
Thanks Julie for the comment about my daughter's award, yes your details are correct and yes we are very proud parents Thanks also Moira for your comment and you are correct. Suit, Dress, London hotel and dinner, it will stretch the pension !! But it's worth it for the occasion. Julie
