ChrisKENT
Managed to stay up-right for 47 reasonable miles (having gone out @ 12.30hrs) although very dodgy in places still at 14.30hrs which was before I reached the "safe-harbour" of the Plough @ Shenstone for some "festive grog". Guy Dewdney
Well, after about 1.5 miles I went down like a brick yesterday. I was in the country lanes just past the Queens Head at Stoke Pound in Bromsgrove. It was about 15:00. My head hit the tarmac with a smack and my helmet took the full force!!! I have posted the pictures of my cracked helmet. Off to buy a new one now! Guy
DaveM
Now that I've read your post Guy I am glad that we didn't venture out yesterday. So glad you had a helmet on. Yours was not the only one smashed this week end. I saw the result of the Bromsgrove fall and that produced a split helmet. Again - thankfully no broken bones. Sean Barker
Glad you're OK Guy, just goes to show the importance of wearing a helmet. By the look of that one, I don't think you would have walked away so easily had you not been wearing it.
