Speedy Kev Posted July 12, 2015 Report Share Posted July 12, 2015 ROSS-ON-WYE OPEN 25 TT RIDE REPORT R25/7 12/7/2015 When Mick Hazlewood knocked on my door at 6am, I wasn't quite ready, but I bundled my kit into the team bus anyway... Number pinned on quick, pump up tyres to the max, and I'm off in search of the start. Because I'm off early I ride past the start before the timekeeper gets there, and I rode miles down the road, thinking "wonder where the start is??..." During the actual TT I decide to ride to Heart Rate, plucking 170bpm out the air, I stick to it within a few beats.. The return leg is into a headwind, I stoically sit at 170(ish) "7..." Rolling back past the first turn I wait to see Mick in action, but he's already gone, then I misdirect Eddie and Mavis to the start line to find Mick, who's not actually there!! Tea and cakes back at the HQ where great.... we all clapped and cheered the marshals, timekeepers, tea and cake makers, and fastest riders!! K. Sargent Saracen RC 01.05.28 22.9mph M.
