DaveM Posted May 25, 2013 Report Share Posted May 25, 2013 At last the weather improved and we had a great day. A well organised event by Stafford Road Club and in good conditions. It's been a long time since I rode this course but it soon came back to me. It's a little 'lumpy' but straight out and back. Our friend 'Rufus' (Mike Dalton) from Bromsgrove OCC led the way and recorded 25:27. I followed with a 27:44 and Mike bought up the rear with a fine 24:36. Mike tells me that this is a slow course and everyone was a minute down on their normal times so that pleased me no end. Thanks to the Saracen supporters club, Edwina and Mandy. Also I must say it’s great to see Rufus on the road again, hopefully this means he’s over the bad back trouble he was having at the turn of the year.
