DaveM
Last couple of runs out, the subject of sportives/audax's came up. It appears the a few club members are keen for a club entry to one of the local events. Ken H, John S and myself would certainly like to partake. This is one that was mentioned today:- http://www.beaconrcc.org.uk/audax/cotswold/cotswold_outing.html A full list can be found at :- http://www.cyclosport.org/events/Apr-2013/UK.html It would be great if we could get a team together.. Especially if the new club strip had arrived.
Sean Barker
I’m afraid I won’t be able to ride with you on that one as I have entered to 200km on the same day http://www.beaconrcc.org.uk/audax/cotswold/cotswold_expedition.html Anyone fancy riding that one gently? There is also a link to the Audax web site on our links page. Here is a full list of fixtures http://www.aukweb.net/events/

Sean Barker
I have already entered the Cotswold Audax 212km and also the Kidderminster Killer. I would be glad to gently guide a group of Saracens if any of you are up for it
DaveM
Some enthusiasm for the Beacon Audax 23rd June. Having looked at the diary I find that I am going out early evening that day, so go ahead without me on that one. Chris P likes the look of the Malvern Mad Hatter, 1st September and I am OK for that. Sean Barker
I have heard tell that the Silk Run 100km audax, starting and finishing in Tewkesbury is one of the best around. I will be riding this at an easy pace with my daughter's boyfriend (his first ever audax) If anyone fancies joining us that would be nice http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/13-229/

There is only one climb all day and thats Stanway, which in truth isnt that bad really. But after you turn left at the top and head towards the control at Snowshill, thats a bit of slog. Were there a lot of starters Colin? I ask because I rode the 160km event and must have rode through thirty or so stragglers at the end.

AlanW
You may also care to consider the Shropshire Highland Challenge on the 16th June - HERE I have ridden this event for the last 8 years and every year Danny Mason the organiser finds more hills!!! Trust me, it is one of the "THE" best events that you will ride and with the amount of free food on offer, you usually end up heavier than when you started.
