TonyS
Following a discussion at the cafe on Sunday's run, general agreement was reached that departure from Tardebigge will be one hour earlier than originally suggested, at 09.00 It was also agreed that there would be one group only, heading for Broadway in time for a cafe stop before the race arrives, and to allow time for any en route issues. If anyone doesn't want to come all the way, they can drop off at Craycombe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original post : Two good vantage points (with cafes close by) are Fladbury (Craycombe cafe) where there is a race feed station, race convoy ETA 11.52, race 12.07 Broadway (cafe on corner of High Street and Church Street), convoy 12.19, race 12.34 Suggest anyone interested meets at Tardebigge to leave at 10.00; depending who's there we can form one or two groups at appropriate pace to reach destination in time. Suggested route out via Flying Horse Lane, Inkberrow, Rous Lench to Fladbury X-roads (approx 20 miles from Tardebigge). Then Left to feed station at Wood Norton or across via Charlton and Hinton Cross to Broadway (approx 30 miles). Any questions/alternative suggestions? Mick Hazlewood
Weather permitting I will be at Tardebigge before 10am and don't mind which ever vantage point Is chosen but would prefer Broadway on climb. Will go with the majority. Mick.
Alp
Broadway High Street will be closed from 10:00am and 'local clubs' will be racing on it. What ever that means. There will also be some activities on the Green. I will be in Broadway about 10:30/11:00 to see what is going on and then climb the hill to watch them through Snowshill. Robertos Restaurant adjacent to the Green is cyclist friendly. A group of us go there every Thursday. A pot of tea, tea cake with Jam and butter is £3.30 All we need is decent weather.
