Bromsgrove OCC Hil Climb 28th August

Recommended Posts

Last night, local cycling clubs sent their most insane members to a gathering in Great Farley Woods, Clent.  Instead of of enjoying a meander through the leafy glades or sitting in the local pub they chose the near death experience of dragging themselves up an 18% incline for nearly a mile.  The one getting to the top in the shortest time was declared the dopiest.

The nutters representing the Saracen were Paul Haynes and myself.  Paul made it up in 4:13 and I clocked 5:17.

Today I will be going to the doctors to find out why I found the event enjoyable and Paul is going back to the course to see if he can find one of his lungs.

Many thanks to our friends in the BOCC, time keepers and marshals, for holding this event

What a way to enjoy a nice summer evening ! . . . Not sure how I let Alpha Male Mitchell talk me into it but a good time was had by all who chose death by hill climbing & it made a change from being chased up dual carriageways by racing snakes
