Mick Hazlewood
This weekend was the Cwmcarn Paragon 25 mile time trial on the R25/7 at Usk. Having traveled down on Saturday early afternoon for a 4.13 start in the pouring rain I was thinking that I was in for a very wet race. Fortunately the rain gave way to brilliant sunshine just before the start and just left a strong headwind to contend with on the homeward leg back from the turn at the halfway point. Very pleased with my time of 59.08 considering the tough conditions on a this very exposed dual carriageway.
Sean Barker
Well done Mick, an excellent time under the conditions. The 300km Audax I rode that day passed through Usk and I was fully aware of a strong headwind at times, just glad I wasn't racing in it! You really have put together a fantastic series of performances this season.
