Sean Barker
I’m reasonably happy with most things I have bike-wise but the one item that still need addressing is break blocks. I use the Shimano cartridge type but they are rim eaters. What do you guys use and any recommendations?
AlanW
Without question the Koolstops ones are the way to go Sean, either the black coloured ones for general riding or the salmon coloured ones for wet weather riding. I would also suggest lightly dressing the rims when you make the change to make sure that removed any traces of ali swarf to avoid contaminating the new blocks. The Mavic sanding block is ideal for doing this, but it is rather expensive. On the flip side, it will last you for years
