Mick Hazlewood
Yes he did, 112 mph on Pendine Sands in South Wales. I believe a 2mph beating of the old record. Truly awesome, he showed no signs of being nervous about the dangers at all. Mind you he is used to racing a motorbike round the IOM tt course at an average speed in excess of 130mph and topping 200mph on the straighter bits with trees, lamposts and kerbstones to contend with. A total NUTTER but a really nice bloke.
AlanW
What a great program, really enjoyed it, Guy Martin is da man without doubt! And to do it on Pendine Sands, not exactly an ideal location was it? But surely it also begs the question (and not wishing to take anything away from Guy), but how fast could a 'hardened' cyclist take the limit to? Also, according to Dave Le Grys post yesterday on FB, he is now looking for sponsorship to have another go at the record, should be interesting?
