In a fit of characteristic insanity

I decided I was going stir crazy, having been off the bike for 10 days with a fractured wrist.

So yesterday I went into Boots and bought a heavy duty wrist support complete with straps.

This morning I wore it over my splint, completely immobilizing the wrist, then headed off for Tewkesbury to ride a 200km Audax.

I have to tell you it was a hell of a lot tougher than usual and took me three hours longer to ride it than I would ordinarily expect. In fact I didn’t finish until 9:30pm, utterly shattered.

Glad I did it now, I think I’ll sleep well tonight.

You are a buffoon Sir...... much respected and admired......but a buffoon never the less.

Fair comment Dave :lol2

The trouble is it’s just the way I’m wired When I set myself a target I just get tunnel vision and won’t allow anything to stop me. That’s why and how I have managed the tours I have done.

The thing is I have now set myself a three and a half year target to achieve ten RRTY’s so I have to ride three 200km Audax events every calendar month no matter what.
