Sean Barker
Our good friend and regular companion from the Bromsgrove Olympique, the irrepressible Leigh Fidget goes into hospital tomorrow for an operation on his toes. I know he’s slightly anxious particularly when it comes to the recovery period, as he is dreading losing his fitness. But here’s wishing a successful operation and a speedy recovery. I’m not entirely sure as to the exact nature of the problem but when he explained how he can’t wear proper shoes all I saw in my mind’s eye was poor old Leigh sitting on the surgeon’s table with his prehensile feet dangling over the edge. Probably got that one wrong though.
DaveM
I second that. I hope you will soon be feeling your feet again Leigh (sorry scrap that). Seriously though Leigh, don't go taking any short cuts to get back quick on the bike. Proper recovery is important and I am sure you will be able to go swimming pretty soon and that will keep you going. You will be OK, just put your best foot forward (sorry scrap that). Sean Barker
Just to let everyone know Leigh had the operation and described the experience as “something he didn’t like”. He is sore now but just looking forward to the steady improvement.

Mrs DAVIES
Leigh, did you get this problem from wearing high heels? I know this can often cause lots of problems with the feet, particularly the toes. Not to mention the back and hip. Stiletto's only on special ocassions from now on.
