Club Runs Sunday 4th September

Anyone got any suggestions for the A and B run destination/s for tomorrow?

Despite the awful weather today forecast looks reasonable for tomorrow!

I'm open to suggestions - preferably somewhere not too hilly for the B run as I'm still regaining fitness and I do believe a certain someone who hasn't ridden his bike in a little while may be joining us too! With that said if a hillier destination is preferred by the majority a few of us in need a gentler ride can always go and do our own thing! Just thought I'd get the conversation started! ;-)

Forest 9:30 weather permitting.

Will go to this new cafe called The Railway Cafe at Bratch near Wombourne.

Could meet up with the B's at the entrance to Halfpenny Green vineyard on Tom Lane about 11:00 and sort out

the rest of the route together from there.WHAT DO YOU THINK JOHN  ?

May be busy in Kinver I think they have a fete in the high street on Sunday.

C group report

A good turn out this morning as we watched the main group head off.

Leigh Femur. Derek Barton and myself waited for Chris Kent but soon got a text saying he was too tired to ride today so with Leigh leading us we headed for Kinver. Derek cut off on the way as he was out for a non-stop ride.

Enjoyable ride over the hilly countryside

Another interesting cafe find by Kevin Young. Shame he didn't join us for the ride trust all is well.

Only four of us at the Forest headed of for The Railway Cafe at Wombourne.

A rather up and down trip made a little more difficult after putting in a loop to avoid

the road closure due to the Fete on Kinver High Street. This took us out to climb up

to Shatterford  before crossing to Bobbington and across Enville common to Wombourne.

We arrived to find Mick Muc already with refreshment and resting in the garden.

No sooner had we arranged tables and chairs when the Bs turned up.

More chairs required. With everyone seated Breakfast was soon organised.

De Gray has another malfunction yet another Spoke brakes this time front wheel. Have offered him a Campag record 36 spoke sprint in need of

some TLC also a 40 spoke rear to match.

Having removed the front brake still not enough clearance in the front forks to accommodate the buckle.

Step forward Owen exchanges wheels as his bike has enough clearance to allow rotation.

Lots more advise from onlookers.

Church hill out of Kinver Hannah must get her gear bike sorted.

Owen shows her how easy it is with gears.

Dave has same problem but shows us how well he can manage on one gear.

Good find by Kevin Y great to ride on the dark side for a change even if its a bit harder.

Great all riding back together although a little fragmented after the climb out of Kinver.

Almost like 30 or so years ago Repairing bikes and giving a push to those in need.

We must get both groups together for a day out on the Tommy Godwin Challenge.

Those interested get in touch its on Sunday 25th September.

PS Owen has a spot of trouble with his helmet seems to have his head on the wrong way round.
