DaveM
Only seven in today's 'A' group. Mike H, Ken H, Michele,Sam, Chris P, Tony Shardlow and myself. 20mph for most of the route through Radford, Bishampton, Throckmorton, Droitwich and on to Whitlenge cafe. Managed to hang on till Flyford but got separated at junction by traffic and could not get back on. Chris P dropped back to rescue me with a tow to within 100 mtrs of the group, but that was it for me and I solo'd it to the cafe by going directly up the Kiddy road. Unfortunately when the rest were moving through Hartlebury Trading Estate they had a crash. Ken and Chris P came off worst. Ken with a cut elbow and a contusion to his leg and Chris with quite a big road rash to his hip. Both were able to cycle home after some first aid at the cafe. The Whitlenge ladies kindly supplied makeshift ice packs. Both are going to be very sore tomorrow
Mick Hazlewood
Called on Chris P this afternoon and he was reasonably comfortable with his injurys I think, just a tad pee'd with the state of his new top and I believe Kens was also damaged. Accidents happen, a bit of bad luck, and hopefully no lasting injurys.
Sean Barker
We were travelling at pace when the accident happened, I was my usual length or two off the back so was lucky enough to be able to steer around the pileup, Barry was not so lucky. All in all it could have been a lot worse. It was one of the speed bumps in the industrial estate that caused the accident
ChrisP
Yes Ken and I decided to test the new club tops yesterday. Findings; My long sleeve top took a scuff to left side back and shoulder leaving some small holes. Possibly repairable. Unfortunately Kens short sleeve top came of a little worse leaving a hole In the front and a torn back pocket Another job for Pat if she forgives him for rolling about on the road. Conclusion: Above 25mph crash not recommended may result in the loss of a top. Oh well these things happen if you don't want to loose a top don't ride bikes. A little sore and stiff this morning but what a good thing skin repairs itself. Should be back out on Sunday although I'm sure my Mum will say its about time I packed up that silly game.( she is 93 ).
