Another tour of the leafy lanes from Ivor.  The combined 'A' and 'B' groups got together at Bellbroughton on probably the hottest day of the year.  Steady run to the Wyre Forest where we were joined by two late starters for a great break sat outside in the sun.  Just as we arrived a mass of the Stourbridge CC were leaving, we exchanged greetings and were told how good it was to see the Saracen out on the roads again.  Return journey took us right around the forest into Bewdley.

On that leg Chris P broke a spoke in his rear wheel.  He managed to effect a temporary repair and was soon rolling again.  After Bewdley we were off road through more woods and had sight of some fields of beautiful poppies in full bloom.

On the way to Hartlebury Barry developed a bulge where there shouldn't be one, so he let his tyre down a bit and it shrunk.  On passing near Whitlenge Gardens, two of the group veered off with grins on their faces muttering " more tea ,,, more cake"

Great run today with Ivor, Barry L, Pete C, Gary W (Previously known as 'Gary of the Beacon'), Chris K, Chris P, Mandy and Dave M.

Yes great day out got home without riding on the hub.

Got stopped by a white van driver in Bournheath, what a surprise when

It turned out to be Derek Barton a Saracen rider from the 80s.

Told him to get his bike out. Said he'd asked Mick H to sort an upto date

machine out for him.

Lets see Ivor on next weeks MC & AC audax fairly flat no need to stay on the front

all day.

Let's hope it's another sunny day and Ken's back on the bike.
