Hannah
Just a quick post to say Owen and I won't be riding this weekend. Owen's nursing a persistent tickly cough, so instead of riding we're going to cheer on Mickey Rourke at the Oulton Duathlon.Speedy Kev is riding the Aviva Tour of Worcester, and I think Alec Wright is also nursing an ongoing virus. BUT rumour has it Lee '50 Shades' De Grey will be out, as will Dave Cunningham.Hope everyone has a blast at Shlesley Walsh! :-)
ChrisP
Monday morning summer over but what a glorious end.Six riders met up at the Forest.Lee De, Alec, John P, Dave C, Kev Y and myself.Headed out on the back lanes for Driotwich and onto Holt Heathhoping to meet up with Chris K and Co. at the Red Lion pub.Having read his report can see why it didn't happen.Pity as we new which way to go. must sort him some maps.Kevin Y wanted to do a none stop ride and left us early to head Pershore direction hope he a a good ride.Mavis in recovery after her assent. Nice to see Terry Dunsbey had ridden out Phil Carbutt back in action. This is the usual way things are the little women behind her man.Pity it can't last forever.Sorry I missed Paul and Dave at the start but that's one of Dave just passing behind the tree. The only climbing our younger riders did. Although Alec and Dave C said they can't wait until next year to have a go.A great way to finish of the morning with lots of talk how we would have done it.Good to set of altogether for the ride back sorry about the climb back up to Abberley for some but great lanes.Sorry we seem to loose John Poole at the cafe, don't know if he was playing with the grand children up the hillor taken a lift home. Trust he got back OK.
