rovi
"tHE FaMOUS FIVE WENT TO CRAYCOME"For those of you who remember Enid Blytons "Famous Five"books here goes.....It was a bright shiny day when we set off on our adventure all the way to the Craycome antique centre and cafe.there was..... "big Sean" "young (Wrinkly tights )Kay" "not so young Richard" "Older Ivor" & "BIT Older Brian. We had a spiffing ride down toCraycome with "Young Kay" often leading the way."Big (heavy legs) Sean rode at the rear He rode A 200K audax yesterday. wow!!We were caught up by Kevin who had just left the B run and was on his way further south.Craycome duly arrived after that lovely swoop downhill to the main road.We had lots of toast ,tea , coffee and scrambled egg.Sean squashed a wasp , Ivor told us how to keep wasps away with a blown up paper bag.and Kay told us all about losing a minute in an Audax.well it was out on road again for the second part of our adventureup that great big hill that we swooped down an hour before.Into a bit of a head wind ,into Bishampton ,where we nearly bumped into Chris( recuperating) Pardoe.Chris turned off after a couple of miles and we rode on to Droitwich. Lycra Kid
Good route/cafe (nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine), good company and beautiful weather all add up to a great day on the bike. Many thanks Ivor and fellow riders for the ride run at what I would describe as a brisk rather than gentle pace!Sean, for the record and for my first ride point, my name is Brian Brookes not Brian Bourne who lives in Spain I believe.
