Course K33/10D, Dunnington, Near Alcester.

First rider off: 19.00 hrs.

There is adequate car parking on the cricket field but please avoid driving over the playing areas and do not leave litter. There are adequate toilet and changing facilities in the Club House.

The event is being run on a minimum cost and budget to provide a midweek Open event that has been missing for some years in the Midlands and to encourage the likes of novice Club riders to experience the atmosphere and competition to be enjoyed in an Open event . Accordingly, there will be no prizes and only liquid refreshment after the event. There will be a donation to the Midland Air Ambulance Service if there is surplus money after all costs have been accounted for.

In the interest of your safety, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoter strongly advise that a hard shell helmet is worn that meets an international accredited standard.

Course Description – K33/10D Dunnington

Start on the B4088 ( Alcester – Evesham road ) south of Dunnington crossroads at white line to south side of lane opposite sign to Dunnington village.

Ride south to Norton Island junction where take first exit towards Salford Priors. ( 3.6 miles ).  Note – the halfway mark (5.0 miles ) is first field gate beyond Warwickshire boundary sign

Ride through Abbots Salford and Salford Priors to island junction with A46 ( Evesham – Alcester road ) where take first left onto the A46 towards Alcester. ( 6.9 miles )

Continue along A46 north towards Alcester to island junction with A435 where first left onto A435. ( 9.9 miles )

Ride along A435 past BP garage to finish approx. 100 yards at last gully grating to the south side of drive way leading to five barred gate  with notice ‘ATCL Private Fishing ‘. ( 10 miles )

 

·         Please check the ‘ Risk Assessment on the Day ‘ when signing on and collecting the race number.

 

Suggested route to the start  --  follow the course  from the HQ / Anchor Lane to Salford Prior village where left into School Road.  Follow Station Road to the junction with the B4088 at Iron Cross where right to the start area.  Allow 15 minutes.

The event is limited to 90 riders because of a risk of failing daylight for later riders so hopefully all riders will return safely to base.

The results will be emailed or posted within 14 days of the event.
