Had a short non stop ride past Broadacre
on the way home bumped into
Dave Hale doing a lot of walking now
recently walked across Wales he told me.
Says he will see us at the boozers run.

All back home safe and sound.

who needs winter anyway.

Sorry I missed you but I left Broadacre at 11-20 in
order to miss the rain WRONG!!! Rain caught me at T B so
7 miles home in fairly heavy rain,
First time this year, so can’t complain.

He always came to our dinners at the golf club.
He was a mate of Jim George, they both worked in
the Jewellery Quarter.
He rode for the Earlswood R & P CC.

Pete and I also decided today was the best bet
neither of us had been out for a while so
it was Broadacre,stil,both felt good ,so we took
a long route home.
what a gorgeous day!
sun was troublesome at times and
a few slippy leaves about.
whatever,a lovely ride,one to remember in cold,wet,days to come,
keep riding,and watch them leaves…..

Sorry to announce that Don passed
away today.
Older members might remember his
early racing career(national junior R.Race champion 1955)
as well as county class at golf,and represented the country
as a canoeist,in addition to his career as an artist.
A multi talented man .
R.I.P. Don.

Pete and i went to Debeers yesterday
and guess what we overtook,
an elderly gentleman on a "TRIKE" a
proper one ,not a converted one.
complete with a full sized Carradice saddlebag
on the back.

Broadacre was on iron rations today,
the ladies had all been to a wedding,
only the boss was there, so just a cup of tea and a scone.
what a lovely ride home, even turned the battery off at one stage.
