  1. Just two of us started from Tardebigge, it was a cold 🥶 start.  Alan T. and I had an easy ride around the lanes, looking out for icy patches, we stayed upright and arrived at Broad Acres at about 11:40.  Mike McClure came in next (in the car), shortly followed by Tess, Roger and Chris P.  Mick H. was next, and lastly, Chris T. on his brand new bike.  Eating, drinking and chatting came next, the food there is very good and so are the prices, Tess, not having been there before was very impressed with it especially with the free tea top ups.  Then it was back out in the cold to ride back home.   🚲

  2. Misty start this morning, but not too cold.  Five of us from Tardebigge, Moira, Phil, Ivor the Engine, Chris T. and me.  We had a nice steady ride over to Wooton Wawen, where we found the cafe was very busy, but we did manage to get seats, then a few minutes later, in came Chris P. and Roger.  It was very good company and we all rode home together, after fixing Moira’s bike, and then Chris had a puncture on the way back. Oh well that’s the way it goes.  🚲

  3. We got to Pershore no problems at all, there were quite a few puddles about but they didn’t cause any trouble.  Eight of us started from Tardebigge, but Ivor zoomed off in a different direction.  So there was Moir, Bev, Kevin R. Phil, Chris T. Roger And me. We spent a happy forty-five, or so, minutes filling our faces and sorting out the world’s problems, and then back home.  It was a coldish day, but not too bad, there was plenty of room in the cafe, I think people were keeping away after seeing the floods in the news.  Good day out.  🚲

  4. Pershore, hope it isn’t flooded.  Last week it was voted that we start at 10 o’clock for the winter, so, until next spring 10 o’clock will be the starting time. We will be starting on time, don’t be late.

    10 o’clock. Tardebigge.  🚴‍♀️       🚴🏽

  5. Well the rain did stop thank goodness, it was a bit cool, only got up to 5.5 degrees. But it was quite a nice day.  After saying all that, there were a lot of deep puddles that we had to ride through.  Seven of us started from Tardebigge, Moira, Bev, Kevin R., Kevin Y., Roger, Phil And me.  We did stop for two minutes at eleven o’clock on the way.  Arriving at the cafe we found Mick already there, that made eight, then ,in came Tess and Chris, ten,  not bad for a cold November day.  After refreshments, we had a steady ride home. I think there were  few aching leg today, must be the time of the year, or old age, no must be the time of the year.  🚲

  7. Ann and I are very sad to hear the news about Eddie, he kept the Saracen going through the good times and the bad times, and then back to the good times again.  The club was only just ticking over twenty years ago when we had the fiftieth anniversary, but after that Eddie got things up and running again, and the club got back to what it is today.  Eddie had a lot of other interests as well, mainly with things  mechanical, he could always be found in the garage, tinckering with something or other.  But we will always remember him mainly for the club.  The Saracen will never be quite the same again. R.I.P. Eddie

  8. Yes, we did need winter bikes today, there were a lot of puddles on the roads, we had to turn back a couple of times because of flooding.  Anyway, we got to the cafe at Evesham which was up to it,s usual standard.  It was a cold start, Jack the Frost had been out in the night, but he didn’t cause us any problems.  The sunshine was very pleasant for the most part of the ride.

    And today’s riders were:-

    Bev A

    Kevin R.

    Moira B.

    Roger B.

    Mick H.

    Kevin Y.

    Chris T.

    Chris P.

    John S.

  9. Nice autumn day today, and a very pleasant ride out to Long Marston.  Nine started from Tardebigge, three of whom turned off for the senior run.  So the six who were left, Bev, Moira, Phil, Roger, Chris T. and Me, had a nice steady ride to the cafe, which was full of cyclists, but we managed to get a seat.  Alan P. came in, followed by Tess and Chris P. and that was all of us.  We seemed to be a long time eating and drinking, but eventually got back on the road, and Alan took us a different way home.  Good ride, hope the weather stays like this for a long time.   🚲
