Well where do I start so much was going on . Firstly the cafe was called The Potted Pantry not the The Potting Shed that’s in a garden centre in Bromsgrove but luckily I think everyone knew where I meant.

Starting from TB were John , Bev , Tim , Leigh , Gordon , Julie , Chris T ( long while since Chris has been out with us ) and myself.

Off we set to Feckenham up the little hill towards the ridgeway where sitting at the top were the Philpott’s , Barry , Steve and Jenny . They were all breathing normally unlike the rest of us .

Quite a group 13 of us in total the most we’ve had out in ages . After Bidford we turned right towards Blackminster Tim and I were on the front doing a steady pace up the hill when there was a flash of white as Jenny came past us on her electric bike on full power. Jenny took some catching but we managed mainly as she slowed down .

On arrival at The Potted Pantry Michele was already there with a beacon member having arranged to meet Chris there .

We all ordered and then rearranged most of the outside tables to accommodate us all when in came a group of 7/8 from the Beacon arriving at great speed including Kev Young and Andy Wrightson . We sat there smug thinking ha ha we got here first and got our orders in.
I think it’s fair to say from then on in it was very chaotic at the cafe drinks arriving for all including the Beacon before any food . Burnt teacakes having to be thrown away and just general confusion. Extra tea and coffee coming out which we gratefully had.

In all the confusion Julie’s light snack of toast scrambled eggs and mushrooms ( hangover recovery food apparently) didn’t come . We’d all finished so Christine kindly went to the kitchen and managed to sort it out and soon appeared as the new waitress with said light snack not 🤣

She scoffed it down quite quickly and off we left leaving the Beacon still there.

I must say the Young lad who was waiting on was very patient and good to us .

Alan was navigating and took us back a nice way through Pedworth . Those around Julie on any up hills were concerned that they might see her scrambled eggs again luckily this didn’t happen .

The farmers had been out and lots of hedges had been cut . Steve got a puncture on the main road just before Bidford luckily as you’ll see from the photos Jenny and Bev were on hand to help him out . Many ladies hands may light work 🤣

Great pics and write up Moira. I think an explanation of my random foot photo is called for. So just to do that, I needed to change my socks as my shoes were still wet from Thursday. Apparently I should have stuffed them with newspaper. So I put some nice dry socks on at the cafe.

And yes it was a huge plate of food but I managed to eat it and keep it down..... just 🤣🤣🤣🤣
