Forgot to add that today we're at a neighbour's 80th birthday bash at 12.30, so went out early with a loop to Springridge. See you Tuesday, weather permitting! Moira Posted August 28, 2022 Author Report Share Posted August 28, 2022 Luckily the “ wimps “ made it out today . 😜 Starting from TB John , Gordon , Micky D , Tim , Leigh and myself. John and Tim were on the front setting a good pace think they’d both had 3 weetabix’s for breakfast . As Barry has said in his earlier post we did pick him up in Bouts Lane . Apparently he can now switch on the cooker and hob weather he can actually cook anything is another matter . Poor Lesley just hope your daughter is visiting you regularly 😂 We went out past the airfield back to Flyford Favell Dormeston then the cafe . Tim was feeling particularly frisky as he put his foot down from the top of the hill at Bradley Green . I just managed to hang on as did Mick and John . We arrived at the cafe panting and very sweaty 🥵 John even had to get his hanky out to wipe his face . As you can see from the photos below Gordon relaxing 😎 in the sun. Already at the cafe were the Philpott’s , Dave M who had cycled there , Mandy who drove there and Pete Cooper on his electric bike .Also Mick McCloure who is on a visit for a couple of weeks . Lovely to see Mr McCloure. John and I both had a lovely BLT 😋 While we were eating Richard Kent and Shaun arrived then Chris Poole so we had a good gang there . Lots of different chatter going on. As you will see from the photos Alan had overdressed so was cooling down at the cafe trying to look ‘ sexy ‘ I did say trying 🤣🤣 But he did venture to a table where there two lone female cyclist and tried his charm offence on them luckily he had removed the strawberry jam which he spilt in a very comprising position . I’ll leave that one to your imagination !!! There was a lot of flicking of his braces but the ladies remained stoney faced . Christine then told us that Alan’s foreplay was to talk about the cost of fuel . I snook over to get a picture of the master in action think the ladies were quite relieved as Alan then left them to speak to some other poor unsuspecting person 😘🥰 ( love you Alan really ) People left in drips and drabs .
