DaveM
Glad to be back in the routine after three weeks off and set off to the Tardebigge with plenty of time to spare. All went well, though pretty slow, till I got to Upper Bentley and found the road completely covered by snow. There was no option but to walk through as the ruts were frozen. On reaching the other side I came across a huge pool of water that to be over a foot deep and a hundred yards long. There was no way I was going to attempt to cross that and ride another two hours with wet feet. So back through the snow and a detour of three miles. I was sure now that I would miss the guys but due to a late start I picked them up a mile or so from the Tardebigge. I was surprised to find such a small group on it's way but pleased to that it didn't contain Mike, Sam or ChrisP (no offence). We enjoyed 'brisk' pace and I managed to hang on till mile 32 and then limped to Julies Cafe. Most enjoyable break thanks to the company of Sean, Chris K, John S, Lee and Gary.
