John is off marshalling on Sunday, so it's my turn to do the post. Raphaels, Evesham is the destination.

Route can be altered to suit all. (long or short) 9.45 am at Tardebigge.  B's

Well what a lovely day we had the sun even came out . The seniors joined us to Evesham the only person missing was John Shelley who was busy marshalling a run.

After reading the report from last week about how fast it was thought I'd better take control so sat on the front with Tess to slow the buggers  down which worked well until we hit the Lenches then I went backwards as most came flying past me (still can't work out how you can up those steep hills to fast ) Anyway we regrouped where we normally do except the  Lone Ranger Leigh who wanted a head start up the next hill apparently he went right but we went left as Mr Kent said it was more senic .

Now this is where we missed John as most of us missed the right turn I just saw the downhill don't mind those and went for it not hearing Chris and Barry shouting at us to turn which they did . But all ended well as at the roundabout we saw them up in front so gave chase.

It was so sunny that we sat outside at the cafe now if you like the bread pudding this is apparently the place as Mr Kent will confirm after eating a triple decker sandwich he proceeded to finish off Barry's , Ken's and Chris P bread pudding. To say the portion size was large would be an under statement. Fair play to Chris I just don't know how he managed to cycle home after eating so much bread pudding but he did.

Return journey was a bit quicker as Chris P and Mick H were on the front but I did managed to nag them a bit to slow down on the hills ! Then we had a brace of Hazelwoods on the front so couldn't talk then but at one point thought my nose was running only to find we'd obviously been going that fast that it caused me to have a nose bleed. Luckily Bev had some tissue which I stuck up to stop the bleeding.

On the way home we thought that Philpott had got lost as he came all the to the end of Flying Horse Lane obviously trying to get some extra miles .

Out today and if I forget someone please shout up as Tim dropped this on minute at the last minute.

Moira , Bev A, Tess , Tim B , Kev R , Chris P , Alan P , Chris K , Ken , Barry , Leigh , Mick H , Owen H

And I don't know the second half has gone to smaller text tried and failed to make it all the same size ??

Managed to make it to Raphaels before they left, probably due to the size of the bread pudding.

I have a few pictures to high-lite today's issues.

The patio overlooking the River Avon.

A well user cyclist watering hole.

I tried but was eventually defeated by the famous Bread Pudding I was helped by the rest of  the group but it was left to Chris K to finish it of.

Mr Shelley, Moira's trainer should be very impressed with the effort she put in today.

Blood, sweat but no tears almost blew her brains out.

Enjoyed the day thank you to all . Wouldn't have seen the scenic route if I had gone down it . My head was too far hung in exhaustion to see anything but the road.

Thanks to Moira, Ken and Tess for controlling the front to a reasonable pace until the Rous Lench hill . I think I will have to rethink my training plan after I saw others sprint up, not all of them youthful riders .
