Sarashell
It was nice to see so many Saracen riders at the Tardebigge this morning. Both groups were there. I didn’t count them, but there must have been about fifteen. Anyway, we all started off together, one or two turned off, and we dropped some more off at Auntie Rita’s. Six of us then went on to Croome Park, and rode past all of the cars that were trying to get into the place, the car Park was packed. Luckily there were tables free at the cafe so we made ourselves at home. We were them joined by two more. After refreshments and banter, eight of us rode back home. It was a chilly start but it wasn’t a bad day. There a few aching legs, some people don’t like hills it seems, but all in all it was a good day. In our group today were :- Tess O. Moira B. Mick H. Owen H. Kevin Y. John S. Alan P. Chris P. ?
Lancashire Lad
2 Seniors, Chris and I joined the as far as Aunty Rita's at which point Hannah decided that our pace on the return would be more to her liking today, lack of miles, or maybe she just preferred the company of older men! Whatever, at the café we were joined at our table by George Baker of the Beacon and a Peter Bye of the Solihull who informed us that he raced with Ken H and asked that we passed on his Best regards to him. Great conversation between Chris and Peter about old times and other riders including Peter's brother and an enjoyable ride back with the company of Hannah. A bit cold, but warm company. Thanks Chris and Hannah. Don't know how the Bees appeared in this Post, couldn't get rid of them, but they are flapping there wings faster than the Seniors could pedal! ChrisP
A couple of pics from last week to show that I did make Warwick just to late to join the Bs due to the clocks moving forward. A nice sunny day as you can see. Got the timing better today, even with the queues of traffic around Croome Park area had time to join the others for tea and cakes. As you can see Owen still has trouble keeping his tongue in. Moira's back couldn't resist a selfie. Don't go to Croome Park on Easter Sunday a very popular place for Easter Egg hunting. Car parks full to bursting with queues on the lanes in all directions. Another rather cold day but not much wind about. Good company as always. Mick Hazlewood
Perfect timing for us at Croome Park today, a plentiful choice of tables to sit at. Just felt sorry for all the other visitors who could not enjoy a pot of tea as we had most of the pots on our table.
Leigh
Arrived late ,stupid really as I'd got up early and frittered away the time without realising . Decided Auntie Rita's too close so went to Pershore .Met Chris P on the way at Croome decided to split off very quickly didn't want to hang about waiting for him ! as if. Made up for the benefit of extra miles by having almond slice AND Portuguese tart. Home back dry .
