  7. Dear all I’m sure that many of of you may already be aware via Facebook, Les ARCHER of the Stourbridge C.C. died earlier this week! I suspect that there is not a member of the cycling community worth their salt & over 50? who would not have met or known of him! A great guy who contributed so much to the sport in every sense or role not least the organisation of 2 National Championship events! R.I.P. Les.

  11. Brilliant TERRY what marvellous memories you’ve related in years when I was but an infant & thanks to Chris for the visual tour & posting the images for us all to enjoy 😊
  12. I think that (A) is at the top of Hopwood Bank on the Redditch Road.
  13. H was the Rock Tavern which was also known as the Portelet. Her husband who was English & always serving behind the bar on my many, many visits often with Peter Carbutt, was unfortunately an Alcoholic! He & the premises went into a nosedive of a decline! She left returning to the States with their child. Happy & sad memories indeedπŸ€” The location is Caunsall as correctly identified by Moira but it’s definitely NOT the Anchor which still is just down the road! They’re both on right hand side of the road going in the direction of Cookley. The Anchor being just before Kinver Lane & the Rock/Portelet located Just after on the little rise!
  14. Dearest MICHELLE & CHRIS I cannot even start to imagine the sense of loss of such a β€œSPECIAL ONE”! You’re very much in my thoughts and prayers ...............Chris K.
