  1. We’re heading to Clive’s at Cropthorne in the morning. Going out via Priest Bridge . 9.30 am TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴
  2. Well done for going out thank goodness Dave was at the cafe .
  3. Nor me went out yesterday instead in the sunshine ☀️
  4. Starting from TB this morning were the fabulous four 🤣 John , Tim , Bev ( back from her month in France 🇫🇷) and me . Bev and I had a hard ride to TB as we were going straight into the wind so we were hoping to hide behind the boys . But somehow I ended on the front with John . We were joined by Dave and Barry just shy of Radford apparently Alan and Steve had headed off a different way as they wanted to avoid The Lenches !! Obviously not as brave as Barry . When we arrived at the cafe Leigh was already there . Refreshments were ordered and we sat outside on the decking which was very pleasant . A good chat was had then it was time to head home . Alan had a garmin issue but John soon put him right . I don’t quite know what Tim had at the cafe but he set off at a great pace. Nothing exciting happened on the way home . A few photos below . It’s just started to rain as I’m writing this was it was good to miss getting wet for a change 😝
  5. Barry that’s cheating but I’ll let you off as last time we did the Lenches you used your normal bike . See you in the morning.
  6. Well the delicate flowers were out early as I left home at 7.50 am yes 7.50 am it started to drizzle which was quite actually quite refreshing . I met Julie at 8.15 am in Blackwell and we set off on a nice route in a lovely temperature so we didn’t wilt 🤣 We past John as he was flying down the hill towards Feckenham obviously we were going up a speed too . Unfortunately John was on his own so hopefully John you met up with at least Steve. Another little refreshing shower for us just before we climbed up the Licky’s for home . Julie made 50 miles after riding round her estate a few times apparently ( it must be catching ) only 43 for me. Weathermen what are they like wouldn’t pay them in washer’s . Looking forward to your write up and pictures John 😝🥰
  7. Yes sorry John decided to meet Julie at 8.15 am as she says we’re very delicate little flowers 🌺 unlike you that is a hardy plant 🤣 Looking forward to the write up with photos please 😜
  8. What can I say Julie another good write up think you should have the job permanently 🤣🤣 A lovely ride despite Rogers very very loud free wheel maybe he should pedal more !! Or is it were just too slow for him . Chris he’s all yours 🤣🤣 Chris hope you’re back in the saddle Tuesday with that man with the very annoying fire wheel 🤣🤣 I Love 🩷you really Roger and I have a new very tasty receipt for you with courgette’s.
  9. Well it turned out okay a bit chilly to start with but luckily we missed the rain . Starting from TB were John , Julie, Tim and me . We picked up very briefly Tony S and Leigh . Sorry Tony didn’t get chance to speak to you but John said you’d been out since 8 am hence the brief ride with us . Next we picked up Steve and Barry who went on the front for which I was thankful as it was quite windy .Tim turned off too so we were dropping like flies . We did a big loop round past the airfield and I clocked up 38 miles to the cafe. We were all looking forward to the tea , cakes and tea cakes but when we pulled up there was bloody cyclists everywhere !! 8 from Redditch were sitting outside and then on the opposite side about 12 from Solihull who were still waiting for there refreshments . So we were relegated to inside where it was busy too . Two tables with normal people on which left us to gather round a small table . Luckily 4 of the normal people left so we jumped onto there table . Leigh , Ivor and Pete were already there . We had quite a lengthy wait but Cat and Mick the new owners did a good job and we got our drinks and food. Think they just need to tweak how they do things . The food was lovely again. While we were waiting it poured down so we got the last laugh as the Redditch and Solihull lot had to dash inside with there drinks/food and we had the only free tables .I must say they did make the place look untidy once the rain stopped they headed off. Leigh set off for home first then we left .It’s amazing by Steve’s house which is only 2.5 miles away the roads were dry . Alan and Chris were a no show as they had 3 plaster boards to put up before the plaster comes tomorrow. Hope all went well Chris 🤣🤣 A couple of photos below . Well maybe not don’t why they’re not downloading . I’ll add them later .
  10. Well who knows what the weather is going to bring in the morning I’m losing faith in the forecasts as they seem to get it wrong . That said I’ve spoken to the Organ Grinder ( John) I’m merely the Monkey 🙈 that posts the rides. We will stay local just in case the rain comes around midday the plan is to go to # Nom , Flyford Flavell as it was very nice there last time we went . I hear moans it’s too close we will be putting a big loop in and for those that live nearby you have the option of doing a loop on the way home . We will be turning right a Priest Bridge and then first right down the road to Himbleton . 9.30 am TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴
  11. Yes shame we lost the football . John I can report not a drop of alcohol past my lips too early in the day for me . Sounds like you had a good ride . I think Julie is trying to show off this week or trying to make up some miles for all those she’s missed while on holiday 🤣🤣 I know the answer to the quiz I’ve sent you a postcard Julie.
  12. Well I think the drizzle put some people off namely Barry and Steve ( fair weather cyclist 🤣 ) When I got to TB I was on my own billy no mates ☹️but luckily Julie turned up . So off we set into the headwind it was hard going . We picked up Dave M and Leigh at Priest Bridge . We did a good loop round past the airfield . There was loads of cyclist out . The roads had been dried out by the wind and we had no rain. We’d just landed at the Cafe when John turned up in his car with Ann saying he hadn’t noticed the wind !! Tea, coffee, teacakes and cakes were ordered . Julie had the biggest ever piece of cake picture to prove it but I don’t know how but she kept missing that little mouth of hers .I had ordered a teacake but it seemed the toaster kept tripping the electricity so it had to go under the grill instead . I must say the cafe was lovely and the refreshments were great . Julie has given it her Royal serial of approval so think we will be visiting again soon . Nearly forgot to say Ivor turned up too . Off we set for home nothing to report except where Julie nearly killed us , told it was clear and pulled out with a car coming we all followed . A near miss thankfully . A few pictures below .
  13. The venue Nom Coffee Shop and Bakery , Flyford Flavell ( old Aunty Rita’s ) . We will be going out via Priest Bridge and doing a right at PB and then first right down to Himbleton and a decent loop to get to the cafe. Can you please confirm if you intend stopping at the cafe as need to let them know if there is a big group. 9.30 am TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴
  14. Nice write up Julie and lovely socks John 🤣🤣
  15. Well it’s pouring down here in Stoke at the moment I’m sure it’s probably raining in Bromsgrove too let’s hope it rains it’s self out by tomorrow 🤞🏻 Thought we’d try a new venue in an old location so here goes Koffee and Cake 2 Bridge Street , Pershore . Yes I’ve checked it’s open on a Sunday . We will be going out via Priest Bridge , Little Inkberrow , Fladbury and then then the short way home . 9.30 am TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴
  16. First off a very Happy 80 th Birthday 🥳 Barry hope you’re having a lovely day with the family 🥰 Only John , Bev and me starting from TB . Julie messaged me calling in sick 🤒 an upset stomach but nothing to do with alcohol apparently 🤪 . I’ll let you make it your own minds on that 🤣🤣. We met Steve and Dave M at the end of Bouts Lane they were too busy talking didn’t even see us coming . It was very busy around Ragley Hall as there was a game fare on . We decided the short way was best as wanted to beat the rain. On arrival Leigh was already there chatting to two cyclists from Bromsgrove Club . We got tea and teacakes but Bev went for a massive piece of carrot cake instead. A good chat was had , we decided not to hang around as clouds were gathering. Leigh joined us on the way back on his new electric red bike . As we’d just past TB there were a few light spots of rain . The next minute Ivor and Pete came flying past they’d must have gone to full power we couldn’t catch them obviously wanting to get home before the rain. We were just coming through Blackwell when the rain spots got bigger when Bev smugly said to me we will be okay but John will get wet as he had 2 miles extra to do to us . Unfortunately Bev was wrong the rain god’s were not on her side and the rain came when we were in Catshill so I’m blaming her for us getting wet . Luckily it wasn’t that heavy . Thought the rain was due at 2 pm forecast wrong again !! A few photos.
  17. Boring I know but as rain is due tomorrow around 2 ish , if we believe the forecast, thought we’d stay local again so the venue is Hillier’s. We will be going out via Feckenham and up the little steep hill to the ridgeway . 9.30 am TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴
  18. Julie was moaning on our little detour as she had 2 extra miles on me so she had her 50 anyway but as Ken was picking her up from mine she had to follow as she didn’t know the way !! Julie not one of better photos with knife all my wrinkles think the money I’m spending on my Elemis face creams obviously aren’t working 🤣🤣
  19. Well what an awful day it is let’s hope it rains itself out today and we can get out tomorrow 🤞🏻 In view of that thought we’d stay local so the venue is Springridge Nursery . 9.30 am TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴 subject to the weather.
  20. Not a lot to report today as so few out !!!!!!! Just John , Julie and me starting from TB luckily we were joined by Tony at Priest Bridge and that was it the famous four did a big loop round . Tony didn’t stop nor did Julie as she had to get home to get ready for her surprise party . Apparently she was going to wear an old dress 👗 but needed time to put her war paint on , now she’s 60 there’s more work 🤣🤣 When John and I got to Broadacres Steve , Barry , Ivor and Leigh were already there . Nice to see Leigh back out on his bike again. Good food and general chat well mainly about the tour was had . On leaving Chris Kent arrived on his electric bike and trailer with his dog Charlie in it . A few photos below showing Steve sporting his new top which I liked .
  21. Aim to get there nearer to 11.30 am for your information.
  22. After a discussion with the real Boss Mr Shelley we have decided that BroadAcres will be the venue in the morning. Mainly as Julie needs to home by 1.30 pm at the latest as her family have arranged a surprise birthday 🥳 party for her which obviously isn’t going to be that much of a surprise as she knows about it . Some good acting will be required from her . We will obviously do a big loop round going out via Priest Bridge . Well it’s rainy here so no gardening for me just put the TV on to see what time the Tour starts and it’s on already might be having a lazy day for a change 🤣🤣 9.30 am TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴
  23. Starting from TB this morning was Tim , John , Bev and me . Off we set to meet the rest near to Priest Bridge where Tim turned off for home . A little further up the road were the Philpott , Steve and Barry ( 3 on electric bikes ) We did a reasonable circuit via Peopleton, Pinvin and the Bishampton . It was quite windy . It was nice going the opposite ways to usual it looks so different . The electric duo Alan and Barry got on the front at one point and the pace went up we all stopped talking heads downs think they forgot some of us are just using leg power 🤣🤣 On arriving at Steve’s house Chris , Roger , Ivor and Pete were already there and were sipping tea awaiting there teacakes . Jenny was well prepared but the girls gave a little hand with serving while the chaps sat and put the worlds to right. I must say the teacakes were lovely . The girls then had a walk around Jenny’s lovely garden which is looking beautiful. Alan and Barry were looking at Barry’s bike then Christine and Jenny joined in too. We all sat off for home but we soon realised we’d lost Ivor and Pete but they later caught Chris and me up they’d stopped for a call of nature. Steve and Jenny thank you very much for hosting you did a great job and we appreciate it . A few pictures below .
  24. Steve has very kindly invited us to his garden for refreshments in the morning . Last year we had a lovely time there . He lives opposite the church in Dormeston . Planning to get there 11.30 am ish . Steve has said all are welcome. To help Jenny out could you please reply and say if you intending on going . We will be going out via Priest Bridge doing a right then up past Philpott Towers . 9.30 TB 🚴‍♀️🌹🚴
  25. Well done to you both . Great pictures x
