Sam's performances include both triathlon and time trials. This year saw Sam set new club records in both the ten mile and twenty five mile time trials, lowering her own previous marks Laura Lane being presented with the "Dave Briggs Silver Platter" for "Outstanding Novice performance" by Marie Briggs. Laura made a fine racing debut this year with an impressive Ten Mile TT and also showed her grit by riding the club's 200km Audax and holding her own with some of the club's seasoned distance riders, Owen Hazlewood and Hannah Smith being presented with the skittles team trophy. Hannah also won the individual trophy The evergreen Mick Hazlewood being presented with the "Moaners Trophy" for the Club Championship 25 mile Time Trial and the "Carbutt Trophy" for the Club Championships 10 mile Time Trial by Pauline Carbutt Dave Mitchell being presented with the "Carbutt Cup" for "Standard" in the Ten Mile Club Championships. Dave was a prolific time trialist this season winning his age category on numerous occasions Chris and Hilary Pardoe being presented with "Gordon Johnston Trophy" for "Outstanding contribution to The Saracen RC" by Pat Johnston Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
