DaveM
This would be the ideal event for a club entry, not expensive and the proceeds going to a very good cause. Any takers? http://tommygodwinchallenge.weebly.com/
Casey Jones
Hi All, Out of curiosity has anyone else entered this? So far I reckon there is myself, Chris P, Gary W, Ken H, and John S, anyone missing? or considering entering?
Hannah
Hi chaps, What are the plans for getting to the event? Owen, 'Speedy' Kev and I are thinking of attending this event but we're not 100% sure yet - depends on transport arrangements.... is everyone meeting at the start point or riding over together? Sarashell
Hello Hannah, Ken and I will be meeting at the Tesco Express, (to ride over to the start) on the corner of The Old Birmingham Road, Braces Lane and Linehouse Lane, just up the hill from The Forest. The bad news is we must leave by 7.15 am. Hope to see you there, and anyone else wanting to ride over, should take about an hour. J.S.
ChrisP
What a great day for a ride in the Warwickshire lanes. Sorry Gary couldn't make it appears he has a bad back. Five of us met up at Solihull for the Tommy Godwin 100K sportive. Chris Poole John Shelley Ken Haddon Kevin Young and myself. preparing to start Kevin was looking after his other half at the time. just a few of the starters. a tea stop at Great Alne. Kevin push on without us to get a fast time in although we did see him leaving the finish as we got back. hill climbing the back of Studley. John Shelley shows the Solihull CC how to do it. ChrisP
wait for ME almost there. thats better a few wheels to follow. two old guys on an afternoon potter. I think we all enjoyed a pleasant day in the saddle along with some Solihull riders. A well deserved cup of tea and an excellent apple pie and custard in the Hospice after the finish gave us time to discuss the days run Nice of Mike Lawrence to be at the finish to see us back well done to him for riding over and showing the club colours. Small problem the extra miles of the return ride home via Earlswood Lakes, fortunately I left John and Ken at Weatheroak so that they could struggle up Bear Hill together from Alvechurch before droping down to Bromsgrove.
