Hi Saracens

Recommended Posts

Hi there

My name is Mark Fruin and I've been cycling for around 18 months and am keen to join a club to go group rides, learn from the experts and generally get faster! I'm a reasonably fit 45 and obviously I am enjoying it out on the road, but am looking to meet up with like minded folk to improve my riding and learn more of the sport.

I was chatting to Hannah and Owen in Speeds today (where I have had much wise advice!), and suggested I join one of your rides on a Sunday from the Harvester, which I'm keen to do.

I generally ride around 40-50 miles on a Sunday now at around 16/17 mph, so hopefully I can keep up for a bit, but really keen to learn the skills of riding with a group.

Hoping this is ok with the group, and that I could join your Sunday ride on July 27th.

Look forward to hearing from you

Mark

Hi Mark

Sounds like we’d be just the club for you. There will be a ride this Sunday but numbers are likely to be down as most of the guys will be riding a 200km group ride that we have organised. You would of course be more than welcome to join us and I’m sure with your ability you wouldn’t have too much trouble but it may not be what you would want as a first ride with us.

We will however be out in force the following Sunday (27th) When if not this Sunday I will look forward to meeting you..

  • 4 weeks later...

Hi all

Hope you are well

Would I be ok to hook up for a ride this Sunday? I very much enjoyed the ride a couple of weeks ago and this is the first sunday I've had free since so would really like to go out with the group again. Is there an A and B group this Sunday? Want to make sure I'm in the right group and not holding anyone up!

Hope thats ok.

Very Best Regards

Mark Fruin

Hi Mark, good to hear from you and hope the weather is kind to us on Sunday so we can get

out on our bikes for a few miles, certainly after last Sundays washout.

Not sure were the run is going yet but keep an eye on the forum over the next couple of days

and I am sure there will be a suggested destination for both the A and B runs to meet up.

If you come out with the A's from the Forrest ( 9.30 ) you can always then come back with the

B run but I am sure you will be fine with the pace.

Look forward to seeing you out with us again.

Mick.
