ChrisP Posted August 23, 2016 Report Share Posted August 23, 2016 Up 6:30 after a late night at Mrs Kentys charity haircut and fund raiser.Rather wet and cloudy out side but after passing Droitwich on the M5 on the way to Cheltenham race coarsethe sky cleared and roads dried out.Cheltenham race coarseSign on area.Off on the 100 mile ride by 8:30..The first climb came after about 8 miles straight onto the top of the Cotswold from Winchcombe.Still asleep and to steep to get the camera out..On top of the Wolds.1st feed stop Temple Guiting.Locusts descend on the food.Ride continues to drop down Stanway then on to Broadway before turning up the climb of Snows Hill..On And OnBetter put the camera away and use both hand.Not long before the next climb.He looks in trouble.Only cramp in both legs.On to Ilmington 2nd feed stop.To be continued..Final stop Weston Subedge.Stock up with more energy bars & gels for next year amazing how much you can squeeze in the pockets.A fairly flat route back along the bottom edge of the Cotswold via Broadway, Treddington, Winchcombe.Only problem 30 miles back to Cheltenham into a strong headwind. A few pics of our stunning country side on the way back.Almost shorter to ride home. Not to far for a summer Sunday run.Just thought Michelle would be interested in the pink out fit to match her bike.I do like lycra..Sorry back to the scenic pics.After a late night at Kentys and an early start it turned into a great day out.Discovered some lanes in the Cotswolds I've never been down before.Garmin ride time 5 hrs 53 mins distance 99.58 miles.Got the Tee shirt and the gong.
