I'm afraid it will be plan B, the severn valley railway is closed until the tenth.  So we will be going round the corner to the Riverside Cafe. Sorry. 🚲

Two of us started from TB Roger and me, we picked up Steve at the end of Bouts Lane. and went on to Hellers. Steve turn off and went a shorter way but ended up at Hillers just a little earlier.  Roger didn't stop, went strait home. Steve and I put the world to rights, and then we went home.  🚲

Well, the weather wasn't too bad, just a bit of rain in the air for a while, and I started out from Tardebigge on my own.  Then I soon bumped into Alan coming out to give me a bit of company.  We carried on to Radford and picked up Dave who said that Leigh had just left him 🤷‍♂️.  So, as we got near Philpot Towers Alan said good by and disappeared.  Onwards we battled, into the wind, which wasn't quite as strong as Thursday, and on to Droitwitch, to the Lido cafe.  A few minutes latter Mandy came in to join us, lovely to see you again Mandy.  About 20 minutes later in comes Leigh.  After tea, tea cakes and a lot of talking, we all went home.
One more Sunday this year, so try again next week, and A Merry Christmas to you all.  🚲

Well, four of us started from TB Moira, Bed, Julie and me, we were soon met by Dave and off we went toward Bewdley.  However, Moira bailed out and went home via Chaddesley Corbett, had to see her Mum, Julie went with her, she had a bad back.  So the rest of us, all three, carried on to the SVR station at Bewdley where we met Leigh.  I think Leigh could tell a story about a can of WD 40, but he can tell that tale.  So tea and things were consumed and the world was put to wrights, as usual.  The station was done up in scary things for Halloween, but  I Was a bit disappointed because not one train came through the station.  Not much happened on the way home, we all got home safe and sound, not a bad day  out.  🚲

Nice write-ups Moira, couple of chapters, you and Julie should write ✍️ a 📕 between you. 😁
Pleasant ride today, ten Saracen Riders, but not necessarily all at the same time. 🤣🚲

Enjoyed the ride today, planned it so we got home before the rain, bloody good job we did, we have had a terrific thunderstorm ⛈ this afternoon, very good for the garden.  Nice photos Julie, but you’re not on them. 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, have a good time next week, and happy birthday for the sixth. 🚲

I’ve been told off by John we went to Upton Severn not Seven . Just John and me at TB . ( Gordon hope you’re okay as we haven’t seen you since last Sunday )
Off we set going out via Hanbury nice for a change we were soon joined by the Philpott’s and Steve so we had the famous 5 . We went out via Pinvin and then Alan took us a different way . We went down roads that neither John and I had been down before , so it was a lovely change . Can’t remember the name of the common / places we went through but hopefully Alan will update you .
I’d 40 miles by the time we got the cafe which was very busy luckily we managed to find the last free table. Chris and Roger then arrived . Lovely tea but no tea cakes or toast !!! so had to have cake instead.
So I’ve just had a slice of toast when I’ve got in .

Off we set for home now the significant seven , into a headwind past Defford . Roger had new wheels which had a very noisy free wheel . He actually managed to free will up a hill !! Show off 🤣🤣 Roger was very nicely dressed and almost fully coordinated in Rapha gear but his gloves didn’t match ( Julie would never have done that 😝)
It was the longest ride for me this year just over 74 miles but I must admit the last few miles were a struggle luckily I managed to persuade Chris and Roger to carry on the last 3 miles for me without me so I could go steady as I watched them disappear into the horizon but I could still see Rogers gloves didn’t match 🤪
Sorry to hear you’re still not right Mick take care 🥰
    A few photos .

I don’t think I would have kept up with you two, luckily we stayed and talked for quite a while, man talk.  I noticed the story about the short type mud-guard wasn’t mentioned, I guess that’s just for those in the know.  Anyway, it was a nice ride, with nice people, glad we got out, the weather might not be too good in the week. 🤷‍♂️🤞🚲

Yes it was a good ride today, although it was cold there wasn’t too much wind, so as long as we kept going it was fine.
I must say what a good write-up Julie has done, she is very good at that sort of thing.  I think she should write a book.  👍🍷.   🚲

We were a bit depleted on numbers today with just John, Gordon, Tim and me meeting at TB. Moira and Bev were off on their jollies and they have picked a good week to go away as it was pretty cold today and getting colder.
Tim kept us company until just before Broadacres where he left us, as he was only doing a short one.
We then picked up Steve along the way who turned off at Rous Lench as apparently he had wood to cut up and needed to get home. I've heard some excuses in my time but that one was a bit of a poor one... people will do anything to get out of going over the lenches. 🙈
That left me, John and Gordon to tackle the lenches and all the other undulations along the way. We didn't do too bad and got to Evesham unscathed and still pretty perky.
Leigh was at the cafe when we arrived and to his disappointment got a much smaller tea cake than the rest of us. He was most upset. I would have taken a pic but he'd scoffed it down before I could get my camera out.
Dave M turned up too. He'd had a technical on setting out so arrived a bit out of sorts a few minutes after us.
We had a good old chat about nothing in particular but it was very enjoyable.
So five of us set off for home with Leigh turning left at the island and the rest of us going right. We got caught up in a bit of a traffic jam due to some temporary traffic lights. It was a bit hairy for a while but we managed to navigate through and push on to Fladbury Hill. What a delight that was.... NOT.
Dave left us en route which left the 3 amigos to carry on up to TB and home. A bit of drizzle was encountered but nothing to cause us much bother.
A cold day but a good ride out.
Pics below with Gordon's Fozzy bear gloves. He needed those today 🥶🥶🥶

Nice ride today, I think everyone enjoyed it.  Weather was perhaps a little bit cold to start with, but we all warmed up on the bikes.
The ride home was, interesting, shall we say, not bad, but I wasn’t expecting to go through the middle of Redditch.
Good company, and  good ride. Let’s have plenty more.  🚲

A very disjointed ride today as you will hear. Starting from TB John , Gordon and me . As we were waiting for Leigh who didn’t turn up .We were joined by Dave Hughes and we’re having a good old chat when suddenly we realised it was well past 10 am .

So off we set expecting to see Barry , Steve and the Philpott’s around the Priest Bridge area but no sign of them . After passing a closed up Philpott’s Towers we assumed they’d gone without us 🙁. As we turned left on the main road  caught sight of them ahead thankfully the Saracen’s top is quite bright . Once on North Piddle Lane I impressed John with my sprinting as I went ahead to try and catch them up . Luckily  I have a big mouth so I shouted out and Christine heard me and waited for us . Leigh was with them too as he was running late and cut the corner off.

We turned right over the bridge at Pershore up the hill as we were nearing the top I was hyper ventilating more than usual and realised I had a rear puncture . My good good mate John changed it for me I was being or trying to be his glamorous assistant 🤣🤣 At this point Leigh decided to head for home.
Puncture fixed thanks to Johns big thumbs off we set again to find Dave Mitchell just outside Clive’s but he said he wasn’t stopping but did come in for 10 minutes . We went inside found a big table ordered cake as they had stopped serving breakfast at 11.30 am . We didn’t realise that Alan and Chris were sitting outside hence the picture of the lonely happy couple outside on there own.  Then Alan came in saying he was going we were still eating our cake apparently he wanted to get home for the snooker . Chris popped in to say goodbye and we kept her talking for a bit . Alan the little bugger set of without her naughty Alan no tea for him tonight Chris .
That left 5 of us to cycle home . We had had sunshine on the way out but dark clouds on the way home but luckily stayed dry . The roads were very wet around Bromsgrove so we’d missed a good shower which is always a good result .
So you can hopefully understand why I initially said a disjointed ride . A few pictures below . Gordon you need to keep your eyes open 🤣

Nice pic Mick. See you next week.
Leaving from TB were bev, moira, John, Gordon and me. We picked Barry up en route.
We were hoping for a lovely day and that's exactly what we got. Temperature was high but off set by a lovely breeze. So we were able to keep up a good pace, with superman John setting the pace.
We were supposed to do a short ride but John kept turning left and putting extra on. I'm not sure what he was on, but I need some 😆.
Arriving at  broadacres, Dave  Mand  Steve jenny and the philpotts  kev and his wife were already in situ.
BLTs were lovely but no brown bread. Mand the cafe owner was a bit over heated and shut up shop at 12. So late comers Vince and Neil had to settle for Crisps and chocolate.
Oh and we passed a person in a saracen top along the way but no one recognised him  so if it was you let us know... as it was a bit of a mystery.
After looking at jens new bike and especially the her huge sprockett We headed off home and it was pretty hot but not unbearable.
Only incident after I left the pack was my water bottle holder failed and my bottle rolled down the hill after me. Stopping to retrieve it I carried on to my car at barnt green.
So a better ride than expected in relation to the hot weather.
    Here's some pics.
The one Barry took turned out to be a blurry video so didn't make the cut.
Photographic evidence of the doorstep sarnie and the decorum required to eat it 😂😂😂
